Cafe Wink — Restaurant in Delhi

CAFÉ WINK This place gets full marks for ambience ,soft and romantic ,very neat and clean . Gauzy curtains and wood distressed furniture and ornate lamps give it a very old world and classic charm. I could come back for the interiors itself .

The cooling was superb which was a great relief in this hot weather,funnily the staff served me water only after asking for it and that too very warm ! Anyways when I pointed that out they immediately replaced it with a cold bottle .The service rest of the time was unobtrusive and attentive . A big plus for health freaks like me - This is one of the two places in East Delhi that sanitizes their cutlery and you can rest assured of the hygiene here .In fact I was informed that you can enter and check the kitchen anytime and if you find any unhygienic practice then your food will be free (on second thoughts who would take free food from a dirty place !).But the place was spic and span to my delight .

It was a big group of friends and kids and so we had quite a lot to eat .

Here is what we had :

Kit Kat shake – Factually the best in town – It was very creamy and had shavings and chunks of kitkat and was sweet and cold both .The shake itself can be such a tummy filling thing so order carefully.

Brownie Fudge shake The kids went berserk over this , I t was chocolate shake with ice cream like thickness an topped with to fudge brownies and gems . I tasted it and it was superb .

Classic Nachos- crisp jalapeno flavored nachos served with spicy tomato salsa and cheese dip. Very good and light too.

Cheese omelet : served with potato garlic mash and masala roasted vegetables. The mash could have been creamier but the rest of the dish was perfect .

Chilli Cheese toasties –toasted house baked brown bread topped with spicy mixture of cheese egg and green chilies and baked. Loved them !

Chicken Tikka Sandwich –Spice chicken chunks ,marinated in classic inian bbq sauce with green capsicums and onions . Kids hot favourite this one easily .

Barbeque cottage cheese bruschetta – Paneer in a tikka /BBq sauce with mozzarella cheese .I loved this .The flavors were very good .

Three cheese Al Forno- Fusilli pasta in Parmesan, mozzarella and cheddar sauce This was Ok with mushrooms for added flavor .

Garden Lasagne -Layers of pasta sheets , vegetables ,mozzarella and parmesan prepared with classic Italian tomato cream sauce topped with mozzarella and parmesan and baked .Great taste and it is a small serve but very rich so enough for three or four people .

Chocolate fudge brownie with vanilla ice cream This was again a hit with the kids but I felt the brownie was too eggy for my taste .

All in all , this is a great place , one of the best in East Delhi , definitely a must visit for all ages,Sadly they have no pizzas but I was informed they will be introducing...

There is dearth of good places in this part of town. Yet, I found Cafe Wink as the supreme one in East Delhi! Though the place is amidst some renovations, yet the food is clearly a winner here and you all must visit the place if you haven't till now! 6 of us had a glorious lunch 2 days back and couldn't get enough from the spread that was way above than most of good cafes in NCR. And why not?

First of all, the breads whether as the main dish or accompaniments to other dishes like spaghetti or omletes are one of a kind, higly fresh, soft and totally scrumptious indeed! This is mainly due to the reason that the place make their own breads. Starting ahead with shakes, I found the 5 star shake as the most prominent one available in Delhi and it's taste hasn't been matched by any one till now. Even the KitKat & Hazelnut shakes were quite heavenly. The Spaghetti Arrabiata is extremely luscious and at par with some of the best ones of Delhi! The sauce is tangy yet a bit spicy & has it's unique notes all together when combined with breads alongside! Even the 3 cheese Al forno fusili didn't fail to surprise either! The combination of cheese was perfect and it was baked to the optimum level, thus making it all so delectable! The BBQ cottage cheese brushchetta & exotic garlic bread were totally unparallel to what you have been having till now! The quantity & quality of toppings would leave you totally amazed after all. The Cheese Omelette was extremely fluffy and gratifying with the veggies & bread! We experimented with a portion each of Paneer tikka & Chicken Tikka sandwiches too to see whether the standards are good and we were profound with these two items too. For desserts, we tried the Pancakes with Nutella & Maple which was again quite enticing! What I loved about them is that they were not over filled with Nutella and therefore, when combined with Maple it was all too pleasent for the taste buds!

The service was good and dishes were appropriately served within time. Moreover, I was astonished to hear that all it's cutlery is sanitized which is quite a important feature that is difficult to follow and usually maintained by only 5 star restaurants. We were all left quite mesmerized with whatever we tried at this place and would highly recommend this place !!! Even we are planning a visit soon again to taste some of good dishes that we couldn't taste...

BEST CAFÉ IN EAST DELHI.

The interiors are simple and aesthetic. Food is equal to perfection. I went there few days back, it's located in Shrestha Vihar Market. I wanted to order the whole menu, but couldn't because my stomach refused.

Nothing disspointed me, everything was perfect.

Coming to food, I tried :

VEG. LOADED NACHOS - Nachos topped with loads of cheese, chipotle, tomatoes and served with cheesy dip and salsa.

CHEESE OMLETTE - Who thought a simple thing like Omlette could be so delectable? I wasn't interested to order this, but waiter suggested me and I literally thanked the waiter. Omlette was filled with cheese, bell peppers and tomato. It was served with roasted vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes.

CHICKEN TIKKA & PANEER TIKKA SANDIWCH - The sandwich was really spicy filled with diced chicken/paneer and onions. Really flavourful and lip-smacking sandwich.

CHILLI CHEESE TOAST - Really cheesy and spicy sandwich filled with loads of green chillies

CREAM MUSHROOM SPAGHETTI - The spaghetti was really creamy and cheesy loaded with mushrooms. I usually don't eat mushroom pastas, but this was heaven.

PENNE VODKA - This pasta was really amazing, saucy and spicy.

BBQ CHICKEN LASAGNE - The Lasagne was really cheesy and spicy. I just loved it, though, I was full, I hope it came before and I could eat all of it.

HOT BALSAMIC SALAD - Vegetables tossed in Balsamic Vinegar with crushed pepper. I must say, this was a very flavourful salad and I loved it.

BROWNIE ICE CREAM - Brownie was perfectly baked and tender. Topped with loads of chocolate syrup and gems and served with ice cream.

In beverages, I had :

KIT KAT SHAKE - You ain't getting a better Kitkat Shake in Delhi. In every sip, I could have KitKat chunks in my mouth. Sweet, thick and perfect.

BROWNIE SHAKE - See that big slice of brownie on top. Chocolaty and droolworthy. It was nice.

5 STAR SHAKE - This shake was also nice loaded with caramel.
