Food- 3/5
Service- 1/5
Ambience- 3.5/
Value for Money- 4/5
I had seen some pictures of this place & thought of trying it out recently.
On Sunday evening, I went here with two of my friends.
Hippi Bus World's Street Food is a terrace cafe, located in Sikka Galaxy Complex, above Cafe Wink in Sreshtha Vihar Market.
We reached around 6pm on Sunday evening. At that time, we were the second ones there.
AMBIENCE:
Greenery + Lots of Fairy Lights = Aesthetics on Point.
The ambience seemed kinda pretty. Decorated with lots & lots of fairly lights & plants.
There are 3 kinds of seatings at the place.
There is a simple table- chair kinda seating.
Then there is a more personal-area kind of seating at the corners, with 3 couches placed around a square table, divided into sections.
And there is a round-table seating made in stone which looks the most fancy & is suitable for big groups.
We took the personal-area seating where they had placed coolers. The light, however, was not too great in there & even the couches were covered with old rugs.
The menu had a variety of food options to choose from so that was great.
SERVICE: The service was a little too slow.
FOOD:
We ordered the following dishes & drinks:
Veg Chinese Platter: 3/5
It consisted of a variety is dishes in fair quantities. It had Noodles, Veg Steam Momos, Honey Chilli Potato, Spring Rolls, Dry Manchurian, Salt & Pepper Veggies and Chilli Paneer. Each of these items had 2 pieces each.
Now that's a lot of options for 1 platter, right? Yay for that but let's talk about the taste of each of these dishes.
I started with the noodles and It was amazing. I really liked the noodles. The Spring Roll & Chilli Paneer tasted good too.
You can definitely consider them as a separate dish as well.
The Honey Chilli Potato did not really have honey in them but they did taste nice & were crispy.
We absolutely did not like the Dry Manchurian, Veg Momos & The Salt n Pepper.
The Salt & Pepper Veggies were crispy to a whole new level. In fact, they tasted extremely burnt.
The Dry Manchurian & the Momos filling was a little sour. The Manchurian balls were too hard to eat.
Vegetarian Pizza: 4/5
Since they didn't have the option of Half-n-half pizza, we asked them to put the pizza toppings in just 1 half & leave the other half like a Margherita.
The toppings consisted of Mushrooms, Onion, Baby corn & Bell Peppers. The Pizza tasted really yummy.
Only the size of the pizza was a little disappointing. It was really tiny, like a regular-sized pizza.
Would definitely recommend the Pizza.
Kit Kat shake & Bourbon Shake: 4/5
The shakes tasted good & the quantity of these was generous as well.
After gobbling up all this.
We ordered for a Hookah & a Double Club Veg Sandwich.
The hookah took about 20 minutes.
We kept on waiting for the Sandwich for good 30 mins.
Then the waiter came to us and asked us if we would like to order something else. We told him we have not got the sandwich yet to which he said we did not place the order only. However we even told him that previously we asked him what all does the Sandwich contains, he explained it to us & then we ordered for it.
But then we obviously did not order for the sandwich again.
We left from the place at around 8:30 but surprisingly, even by that time no new customers had come to the place on a Sunday evening as well. So the place seemed a little lifeless. Maybe not too many people are aware of this place still.
I'd give this place an Overall 3/5 for the food we liked & the ambience.
A few things can definitely be...
