Very average food taste and cannot be considered as value for money.
Can find better taste in the neighborhood chinese food cart.
Prices are little higher compared to street food cart as food taste is worse than that. Can be considered if hygiene is only in consideration.
Chilli Chicken was too dry and gave Frozen taste even after being served hot which means it was pre-cooked and frozen and not bothering even to heat up to the mark of serving.
Schezwan fried rice only tasted of andante rice and oil. Using Golden sella rice for a fried rice recipe means they don't know the exact purpose of what they are cooking.
FYI Golden sella rice al dante is used in dum briyani as it is cooked up fully in dum.
After my first review of the Half fried.
I visited the place again thinking it might have been a bad day for the kitchen and expected some improvements.
I am very sorry to say this time I had an even worse experience than the previous encounter with Half Fried.
The fried rice used again was al dante golden sella instead of white sella cooked rice. The taste was full of aromate powder only. (Aromate powder is used by many chinese food carts instead of using MSG to enhance the flavour but excessive use only spoils the taste.)
The same was the case with chilli paneer also just tasted of aromate powder. Overpowered the taste of all other ingredients.
Schezwan Sauce served with Momos tasted as was a packaged sauce not as prepared in the kitchen. (Just like packaged Schezwan sauce available in Lots or Metro Wholesale outlets).
Regarding the cleanliness, I had a chance of having a glance of the kitchen which was as clumsy as the food and in fully dirty condition equal to the thele wala standards.
Overall it is a very hyped outlet with no standard better than a street food cart. Food tastes worse. As a food critic the owner should review the food itself once a while and give a genuine rating.
As per me rating cannot be 1/2 star out of 5.
I would recommend the owner to taste the food at one of the street food carts in their neighborhood which tastes much better than them.
China Town in the Samachar Apartment Market and compare the food quality, taste and cleanliness which are all better than Half Fried.
I hope you will improve in the future.
Till then best of luck keep serving stale eand...
