The restaurant's specialties are the Syrian Christian signature dishes like the Meen Curry (fish cooked in coconut milk and curry masala), which pairs up well with Appams (lacy rice pancakes with contrasting crispy and soft fluffy textures. Their home-style Vegetable/ Chicken/ Fish Stew is a mild dish of coconut milk, and also best had with Appam. For vegetarians, their signature dish is Veg Korma which teams up well with their layered Parottas (Kerala Paratha). Puttu is another good accompaniment for their egg, vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes made from broken rice and coconut layered into cylindrical shapes. I was looking for malabar food near Noida and googled and found Hotel Malabar with decent ratings. I dropped in there with my wife at around 3 pm. The surrounding may not be that appealing but once u enter the hotel it gives a decent, clean and positive look. It is esthetically maintained. We ordered egg curry with uppam and both were mouth watering. Wife then ordered for chicken biryani and found it good. I ate masala dosa which was good but not crispy. Girl in the counter told that Keralites like it that way and if I had asked earlier it could have been crispy. It was well understood. It is good for private outing not for formal outings.
