One of the cleanest kitchens found in delhi, really spotless. Food is very authentic, few flaws here and there (not the best falafel, tahini sauce can be improved, turkish coffee was a fail). Sweets are really really good in variety and authenticity. Recommended if looking for the best lebanese shawarma and syrian lebanese sweets.
Edit: used to love the place and left a 4 star review few months ago. But the laziness and lack of professionalism of the cashier employe on my last visit today left me speechless. I am a hospitality professional and i, dread having my place managed by a guy who at 1157, when the opening time is 1200 warns the customers stepping in that they cannot order for the next 2 mintues, while he was busy doing totally nothing. Being 2 minutes early, we were not entitled to be greeted, not entitled to have a look at the menu, all while he was literally scratching his belly. At 12 he agreed on giving us menu, but when we went to order he informed us that wraps and coffee, basically half of the menu, was not going to be available for another hour. Now, i am a chef and i'd rather avoid leave bitter reviews, i tend to only review places i like, but here i am trying to do a service to the owner. We were the only customer at the time, quite hungry, but we left without ordering and currently going to your competition. Looking forward to an answer to this review, i wanna also take the liberty to give a piece of advice, demote the cashier to more suitable mansions where he can learn the basics...
Read moreLatest update: Despite being a very regular customer here they are very rigid and not flexible to take customer preferences. I asked them to addon zaatar in the labneh and charge me accordingly. But they refused , i even asked them if they can’t add it just give me zaatar on the side I’ll pay for it . But they refused that also. They were willing to let a regular customer walk out the door rather than charge me extra and accommodate my request which isn’t unreasonable. Likewise i asked for extra olive oil in my labneh , which obviously they refused even as i was ok paying for it. The staff relented eventually but they said they’ll not give it again. Request to the management to sort this out. A good restaurant for mezze options. The labneh here is excellent and what i order usually. It’s easily good enough for 2 people. The kunafa which the restaurant is named after was pretty average. The ambience is nice however the seating near the open kitchen can get a little noisy. They also have authentic...
Read moreAbsolutely divine food, and such a welcome change from the cookie-cutter Mediterranean fare one is used to in Gurgaon.
The cold mezze is served with fresh, warm pita. The muhammara, a dip made with walnuts and an assortment of spices, is a must have. The kebabs were juicy and tender, and the lamb tagine (with its secret mix of seven spices) is an adventure for your palate.
Finally, the baklava. If you've never had fresh baklava, dripping in honey, then you're missing out. Crisp, and surprisingly not sickly sweet, the baklava is the...
