Mr Crust Bakers — Restaurant in Delhi

I had a really disappointing experience with Mr. Crust Bakers. I had placed an order for a customized choco-cashew photo cake for my mom’s birthday, expecting something special and thoughtfully made. Unfortunately, what we received was far from that.

First of all, the flavor was extremely underwhelming—bland and lacking the rich chocolate taste you’d expect from a choco-cashew cake. The cashews were soggy, stale, and clearly just thrown on top for decoration. They weren’t integrated into the cake properly, and they tasted absolutely horrible. The texture was off, and it was obvious they hadn’t used fresh ingredients.

To make matters worse, I had given very clear instructions that the photo on the cake should not be printed on rice paper, as I didn’t want it to be cut through. I specifically requested a removable printed photo to preserve the image. They completely ignored this and went ahead with a rice paper photo anyway, which ruined the whole concept and made the cake look messy once we cut into it.

I even tried calling them to address these issues, but there was no response whatsoever. No apology, no accountability—just silence.

Considering the amount they charged, the quality of the cake was absolutely not up to the mark. It felt like a careless and low-effort job for something that was meant to celebrate a special occasion. I won’t be ordering from Mr. Crust Bakers again, and I would strongly advise others to think twice...

Worst experience totally. Last month I ordered a customised cake for 17 September and they made a terrible mistake by writing the name wrong on it. After confronting they did not totally accept their fault and made us wait for at least 30 mins to correct it which was a complete disaster and there was no manager present at the store to talk and discuss their mistake. Again today 12 Oct a customised cake was ordered and to be picked up but on reaching I got to know that the cake was not in this store but went to some other on the way to gurgaon. I was assured that the cake would reach my place by 6.30 but taking followup and calls to them my cake was delivered around 8pm and was given the excuse that there was an electricity issue at the factory and they forgot to inform me. The same guy in the store said a completely different story. On asking for compensation he said if you will not pay I will have to pay from my salary and I will think that I have not worked for 5 days. Seriously!!!! Instead of taking responsibility he was emotionally blackmailing. I know everyone likes this place but guys we have given these people too much work that they have forgotten to work professionally but raising the prices now and then and giving a pathetic service.
