Visited Sticky Rice on 14th June and had a very disappointing experience right from the start. As soon as we arrived, we were randomly redirected to another restaurant without any explanation. Once seated, the lights went out, and we were stuck in a blackout for almost 20 minutes – no water, no service, and not a single staff member came to update us. We asked twice and only got a dismissive “coming, coming” each time.
Frustrated, we moved back to Sticky Rice. The air conditioning wasn’t working, which we only found out after sitting down. Even then, we had to wait 12 minutes for chasers and another 5 minutes for water – basic hospitality completely missing.
What made it worse was the staff’s poor attitude. We spoke to a few team members and even the manager, but there was no apology, no concern – just a cold, indifferent “so what?” attitude. Absolutely unacceptable.
To top it off, they had the audacity to include a service charge in the bill, despite the complete lack of service.
Bad customer service, untrained staff, and zero accountability. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves it. Will not be returning and do...
Read moreHad my last visit to Sticky Rice tonight, which is an utter disappointment because being in Punjabi Bagh, my family and I have been long-time patrons but tonight were met with subpar food (which I excuse the staff for being a partner in a restaurant chain) but inexcusable was the stubborn and rude staff, particularly the manager Satender.
The kungpao chicken and vegetable sauce had excessive soy and were possibly stale, and when we raised these concerns and sent both dishes back, we were still charged for them. Upon inquiring why this was the case, the manager Satender said we had consumed the food (of course, we ordered with the intention to consume and had to eat before knowing something is wrong) and complained because we simply wished not to pay. That’s not only dishonest and offensive to the guests who are returning the horrible food (which the restaurant conceded), but shows the staff in question needs hospitality training.
This experience ensures we won't return to or recommend Sticky Rice in the times to come.
Hoping for the management’s corrective...
Read moreI recently ordered a clay pot dish from the Sticky Rice , Punjabi Bagh branch, and unfortunately, the food was spoiled and of very poor quality. It was clearly not fresh and completely unfit to eat.
When I tried to raise this issue, I was shocked by the response. Mr. Satyandra, the Manager, was extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of addressing the concern, he bluntly said, “We don’t even use such ingredients,” and refused to accept that there could be anything wrong with the food. His behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful.
As a paying customer, I expected at least a polite conversation and a solution — not to be spoken to rudely and made to feel like I was at fault for raising a genuine issue.
I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both food quality and...
