Tarri restaurant specializes in Misal pav which is signature Maharashtra dish, a spicy curry usually made from moth beans or sprouts and pav (a type of Indian bread roll). The final dish is topped with farsan or sev (fried savory mixture), onions, lemon and coriander (cilantro)
While Misal pav was OK, nothing extraordinary we had better Misal at a few lesser known restaurants on Phadke what disappointed was the sheer abject and pathetic behavior of the owner or the person behind the desk. We had a little one and requested a table in closed AC space as we could not tolerate the kitchen smoke and loud noise outside due to an ongoing musical event outside on the street. Owner refused our request citing the space is only available for a larger group of 6-8 ppl but later allowed his friends a group of 2-3 folks.
What else was disturbing was they tried to shove an order which was not ours on us...
You can literally read sign on the wall (like only eat don't speak sort of stuff) to understand how distant the management is to good customer service.

Read moreI recently visited a restaurant and was extremely disappointed with the portion sizes and prices of the food. It felt like I was paying an arm and a leg for a tiny amount of food.
The dish that I ordered was thali and advertised as a main course, but it was barely enough to satisfy my appetite. When the meal arrived, my initial thought was that the portion was more suited for a child's meal. The food itself was mediocre at best, but the high prices made it even more underwhelming.
To add to the annoyance, I even had to order a side dish just to fill myself up, which only added to my already high bill. It felt like a complete rip-off, to be honest.
I understand that good food comes at a price, but it's unacceptable to charge such high prices for such a little amount of food. I expected to leave feeling satisfied, but I left feeling cheated.
Overall, I was not impressed with the experience and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for value for...
Read moreI ordered the Sabudana Khichdi and the Dahi Dhapate, hoping for a delicious treat for morning breakfast, but was sorely disappointed.
The Sabudana Khichdi was dry and lacked any semblance of flavor. It was evident that it had been sitting out for too long, resulting in a disappointing texture and taste. As for the Dahi Dhapate, they were equally lackluster; tasteless and far from appetizing.
I believe outlets catering to niche segments, like Tarri, should prioritize taste above all else. While the ambiance and presentation may draw customers in initially, it's the quality of the food that will keep them coming back. Unfortunately, my experience has left me hesitant to return.
I sincerely hope that Tarri takes this feedback constructively and works on improving the taste and quality of their offerings. Customers deserve nothing less than a satisfying culinary experience, especially...
