I know of this outlet for almost three decades and can conveniently state that they have stayed consistent in terms of quality, services and variety. It was earlier managed by two brothers, but with demise of the elder brother, younger one took the charge and new generation also joined in after a few years. They used to have proper seating arrangement in open and it used to act as a sweet shop-cum-restaurant, but the seating area got demolished later as the authorities found it being occupied illegally. They used to serve good North Indian food, but their core competency lied in sweets and it continues. They provide a wide variety of sweets at competitive prices. They have their own experts who prepare different sweets in-house and I must mention that most of them are tasteful and fresh.
They also provide fresh snacks including samosas, jalebi, chowmein and others. One has to obtain a token to enjoy these food itens there or take it away. They also keep some savories, packaged cookies and others. The outlet witnesses huge rush during festive season and parking is always a challenge as there are several other shops nearby offering various products and services. Agarwal Sweet Point accepts payment in cash and via other online modes as well.
The staff is somewhat old and experienced. They deal with customers and consumers in a friendly manner. The outlet underwent some renovations in terms of interiors some years ago, but it continues to struggle due to space crunch.
In a nutshell, it is a preferred sweet shop in the neighborhood and has established its name in due...
Read moreASP is an old sweet and food point. I am eating here for last 20+ years. Earlier it used to be a dhaba cum restaurant with sitting space and many food options. With change in municipality administration they were forced to vacate the extra area they encroached in the market. Now they are trying to normalise the space however with limited expansion.
Their samosas are too tasty and have retained the quality and taste over the years. In morning one can try their chole bhature, puri sabzi as well which is good to have once in a while. They have nice sweet and desserts options as well. Here, pavbhaji is also nice along with decent gol gappas, tikki, papdi chat and some chinese options. They also sell regular north indian food like dal makhani, paneer and other sabzi with choice of breads. The rates are affordable but sitting arrangements...
Read moreThis is the only good sweet shop in Ramprastha/Surya Nagar. The quality of sweets is very good. Apart from sweets you also get gol gappe, pav bhaji, kulfi, samosa etc. They don't have a proper sitting arrangement anymore. They have standing tables which you can use to eat. Parking space is just ok and if you are coming here on special says like diwali/Raksha Bandhan etc then it is likely you won't get parking space near the shop. They have not renovated in years so if you have been here in 2002 then the shop from the inside is still the same. People who don't like paying in cash will like this place as they accept payments through...
