Not worth your time or money!
From the moment we arrived, the experience was frustrating. The road leading to the restaurant is not paved, making it difficult for four-wheelers. Even though there is space for parking, it is poorly managed and congested.
Inside, the restaurant has two floors, and we were seated on the first floor. Unfortunately, there was no proper cooling, and we were sweating throughout the meal.
Food & Service:
Limited menu (only 2 pages, not many options). Extremely slow service—took 30 minutes to get our food. Understaffed, so they struggle to handle more guests. Squid Masala Fry had Recheado Masala, but the squid was rubbery and overpriced (₹350). Salad served with fried dishes was dry and unappetizing. Ordered Chicken Cafreal, but after 10 minutes, they told us that pav, roti, and paratha were unavailable—only chapati was an option, so we had to cancel. Tried the rice and fish gravy, but it was just okay, nothing special.
Ambience & Experience:
No waiting area, so people waiting for a table were standing beside us, making it uncomfortable. One random person even sat at our table while we were eating, watching his phone, waiting for us to finish—this was extremely awkward and unpleasant. Staff did nothing to manage the waiting crowd or maintain a comfortable dining environment.
Overall, it was a pathetic experience. Would...

Don't expect fancy decor – this is a place focused on fresh seafood and friendly vibes. As a seafood lover, I was in heaven. The menu boasts a variety of fresh catches, and I opted for the chonak, lepo, and prawns – all prepared in a light and crispy rava fry. The fish was the real star – perfectly cooked, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The only downside was the service speed. It can be a bit slow, especially on weekends when the place gets packed. But honestly, the wait is part of the charm. It gives you time to soak up the local atmosphere and enjoy a pre-dinner drink (or two) from their full bar selection. Thankfully, the prices at Kuttikar are quite reasonable. You won't need to break the bank to enjoy a delicious and satisfying meal here. Kuttikar Bar And Restaurant is a must-visit for any seafood enthusiast in Goa. The fresh catches, friendly atmosphere, and reasonable prices make it a hidden gem worth seeking out. Just be prepared to relax and enjoy the local pace – the wait will be well...
Read moreThis no-thrills no-frills place is one of my favourites for sea-food in Goa. Regulars vouch for the freshness of the fish here, all of which is sourced personally by the owner everyday from the adjoining fish markets and fishing boats.
About the owner, Mr Kuttikar happens to be a former member of the Goa legislative assembly (MLA) who is a good foodie at heart.
The restaurant is located on a nondescript side road that meanders past marshland and an old quarry off the main road from Panjim/Ribandar to Old Goa.
The restaurant is located at two levels - a ground floor section and a rooftop section overlooking open marshland/uncultivated fields.
Whilst the menu also has chicken dishes but folks flock here for the fresh seafood on offer. It’s one of the few place where I have had the pleasure of relishing oysters which is hard to find in Goa these days. The chonak, mussels and prawns are outstanding, and their fish thali also is very popular, especially at lunch time when you might have to wait for a free table. Sadly, they don’t take reservations and do not accept credit/debit cards but welcome...
