I went to this place last Saturday in the afternoon with a few friends. We ordered a few Matcha drinks and a few coffees and paid for them while we were sitting on the provided seating indoors. the lady came up to serve the coffee, and she dropped the drinks on me and a friend of mine. My friends shorts were soaked and my brand-new white T-shirt was covered in coffee stains. Whilst I understand that this is just a human error (like any of of us would make) She did not apologise even once and just ran ahead and got us literally 3 tissues which were handed to my friend. Nothing handed to me. She got a mop to wipe off the coffee from the floor but at no point did she apologise for her mistake. we were hungry and we sat there and finish the entire meal - post which we ordered a few more things which we paid for in full and left. I don’t want any extra freebies for the mistake that happened, but would at least expect a sincere proper apology for dropping the drinks all over us. There’s something about @alag.together , it already tells you it’s going to be different. Located in Siolim, this quiet, women-led café is built with intention in every little detail from the coffee to the playlist to the pace of the space.
The beans come from the Seven Sisters and are roasted by @halflightcoffee_roasters in Jaipur. The menu is compact just the things they love and have completely nailed: matcha, coffee, sandos, cookies. Everything we had was clean, flavourful, and made with care.
The barista knew exactly what she was doing. The team? So, so kind, warm in that quiet, grounding way that stays with you.
What I loved most was their journal/ magazine, a beautiful little book filled with their stories, thoughts, and the way they see the world. It says so much, in the softest way.
Alag is a feeling, and now I know exactly what they mean.

Read moreOh my goodness, this quaint cafe in Siolim is one of the best spots for great ambiance, and food. We tried their Strawberry Matcha, we had never tried matcha earlier and we indeed wanted to try it so we reached out for suggestions from the staff, wherein they suggested their Strawberry Matcha, and to be honest our first time experience trying matcha was amazing. We loved it! Next we tried their cloud cheesecake which was so soft, spongy and wonderful in taste, it did melt like a cloud in the mouth on the very first bite. Lastly we had their brownie tiramisu, I just love tiramisu for real, and the one served here lived up to the taste! Speaking about the ambience, it’s small yet cute, tucked inside. The decor is aesthetically pleasing and the vibe is cool. Though it’s very popular and a little crowded at times, you will surely find something good for yourself here. We had no complaints, just good reviews of the place, food,...
