This is a fantastic restaurant!!
My wife and I stayed in the adjoining cottage for three nights prior to Christmas and could not have been treated to better food and service.
We ate here every night and had some of the best dining experiences of our lives. The owner and his family were charming and very welcoming. The staff were attentive, diligent and exceptionally friendly.
The food was astonishingly good! From the masala omelet at breakfast to the Red Snapper at dinner we were delighted with everything. Our meals consisted mainly of fresh fish, which was prepared with such skill that we will remember it forever.
The Goan cuisine was presented beautifully and was a true delight.
This was all in a beautifully serene setting where we ate our breakfast watching Black Kites and our dinner watching pea-hens. It is also only a mere 3 minute walk from Cabo De Rama fort which is itself completely wonderfully place to spend some time.
If you are looking for a place to eat in Goa where you can both truly relax and dine like royalty then this is the place for you.
Come here now! You will never regret it! It will be some of the best food you will ever eat. We will of course be recommending this to absolutely everyone.
10/10!
Thank you so very...
Read moreThis afternoon we had the pleasure of experiencing the Christmas special at Black Crab, a charming restaurant nestled amidst cashew trees and lush greenery. The ambiance was truly delightful, with woodpeckers and even a playful pig adding to its unique charm.
The culinary journey began with a thick and hearty pumpkin soup. The main course featured a delectable array, including succulent roast turkey with cranberry sauce, steamed broccoli-carrot-zucchini, flavorful Goan fish caldin, a delightful peas pulav, and mackerel in reichado masala. Oh yes the meal came with wine or beer.
The grand finale was a refreshing fruit salad paired with indulgent strawberry ice cream, providing the perfect sweet conclusion to this delightful feast. Every dish felt like a nostalgic taste of home, a testament to the chef's skill and attention to detail.
Special thanks to Jackson for orchestrating the entire experience flawlessly, and for going above and beyond to organize a birthday cake, adding a personal touch to the celebration. Overall, Black Crab's Christmas special was a culinary delight, combining a serene setting, delicious fare, and impeccable service. It truly made for a memorable and sumptuous dining experience. A must visit if you are in...

The seafood here is simply incredible. I tried the King Fish Rechado Fry, Prawns Rawa Fry, Chonak Rawa Fry, and Crab Sukka, and every dish was an explosion of flavor! The rechado masala on the King Fish was tangy and perfectly balanced, while the rawa-coated prawns and chonak had a delightful crunch and were cooked to perfection. The Crab Sukka, with its aromatic spices and tender crab meat, was the star of the meal—absolutely unforgettable!
Although I didn’t try the vegetarian options, it’s nice to know they’re available for those who prefer them.
What made the experience even more special was the owner, a warm and friendly woman, whose hospitality was unmatched. She welcomed us with a smile, shared her passion for Goan food, and ensured every detail was perfect.
For anyone craving authentic Goan seafood with a home-cooked feel, this is the place to be. I can’t wait to return for...
