A Slice of Paradise at Red Crab
I had patiently waited two years to experience the enchanting Red Crab perched on a cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea, and it was well worth the wait. Jackson, the heart of this haven, ensured an unforgettable stay.
From the seamless booking process handled by the efficient Alisha to the rustic yet homely wooden cabins, Red Crab exudes charm. The path may be unconventional, but it adds to the overall experience. It was heartening to see an elderly couple walk up and down the steps.
The beach, a scenic 120 steps down, is pristine and secluded—ideal for those seeking a tranquil escape. There are a few instagramable spots around Red Crab.
Cabo da Rama's crystal-clear waters has earned it the title of the "Maldives of India" in my book.
We had an exceptional dining experience at the Red Crab restaurant! The fresh fish and Goan dishes were a highlight, showcasing the culinary excellence. Despite the bartender's absence, the staff's effort in arranging a drink for us stood out—thank you for going above and beyond! The Crab masala, Kingfish in Reichado masala, and Fish in butter garlic sauce were particularly delightful. The English breakfast, prawn spring rolls, and masala papad added to the diverse and satisfying meals. Generous portions and reasonable prices make this place a gem. I highly recommend trying these flavorful dishes for a memorable culinary journey!
The restaurant starts late and closes early, which turned out to be a hidden blessing. We spent most nights simply enjoying the soothing sound of waves. I could sit on the balcony for hours, taking in the scenic views.
A highlight was Jackson's ability to turn wishes into reality. Seeking authentic cashew feni outside its season seemed impossible until I casually mentioned it to him. Like magic, four bottles appeared, a testament to Red Crab's commitment to exceeding expectations.
Having explored Goa multiple times this year, Red Crab stands out as the "bestest" among the rest. To Jackson, Noella, Alisha, and the entire support staff—thank you for creating a slice of paradise. I'll undoubtedly be back to bask in Red Crab's warmth and hospitality. Thank you....

Read moreI had a bad experience with the food here with us ordering Mixed Sea food Spring roll, Pk vindaloo and Rice.. Mixed Sea Food spring roll had a decent stuffing but the wrapping sheet was so thick that that you will never term it as Chinese. It was served with Mayo (which is again not a Chinese) . So ppl who order these be ready to expect what you will get. The rice given was so heated again, so could clearly see moisture content was not there and was very dry. Biggest spoiler was Pk vindaloo where quality of the Pork was very very bad. We ended up not having any food other than Spring rolls which I would definitely not term it as Chinese (let’s assume that it is their style)
We had a long conversation with Restaurant owner and he said quality is subjective and they are doing everything in open kitchen. Our perspective is that Chef or buyer should know if the meat is good or bad and cannot leave that perspective to the Customer. But there was a lot of justification than commitment to work through the best for the Customers, they even quoted another customer who complained about Lobster being hard. If you overcook any sea food, it will be hard. Selecting what to buy and how to cook is an art and when restaurants charge people and give sub standard food, definitely it will not grow. We have seen people drive long distances to have food, such food loving country this is. We had done so many such food trails and felt really bad and the whole night was spoilt. But after these conversations, Owner was kind enough to give 20% discount and the view from this place, for which I am giving this in 1 star. Else these would be a place where my experience is “not worth...
