C’est La Vie Goa — Restaurant in Goa

My plan was to go to a similar restaurant nearby but after digging in and doing some research I found out it wouldn’t be worth it for food and drinks so I started hovering on map for something similar and found this restaurant just beside- read the reviews and found that:

You dont need to pay cover charge No extra charges to sit near the sea view Food was top notch Drinks too good

Went there and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The view? Mesmerising, the food? Superrr good and the vibe overall was nice.

Here is what we ate:

Drinks: Kokam urak definitely did justice to kokam flavor snd was strong, tropical twist was tangy Starters: Mushroom popper was filled with mushroom and cheese flavor- does not have too my spices so a good plain flavorful starter, AND DO NOT MISS THEIR SUPER CRUNCHY YUMM FRIES Main: Basil pesto rice was heavenly and a paradise food for greens lover. Dessert: THE BEST Panna cotta topped with cashew and chocolate syrup

I never write detailed reviews but this one...

My husband and I came in for a quiet dinner to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We chose the low seats by the lake for the beautiful view, but were asked to move due to an apparent reservation. We politely obliged, and the server mentioned we could return to those seats if the other tables shifted.

We ended up on tall, uncomfortable chairs and waited, expecting to be moved back as promised. Unfortunately, the reservation guests never showed up—and neither did the server with any follow-up.

To make matters worse, our drinks were forgotten until we reminded the staff, and when they finally arrived, the server couldn’t recall who ordered what.

The ambience of the place is truly a 10/10—serene and picturesque—but the service was a major letdown. Sadly, this experience has put me off from returning...

First of all the seating arrangement is very bad..as the college canteen wooden attached table and benches are very uncomfortable and not for senior citizens..even the chairs are not comfy..starters were good but main course is very limited and not up to the mark, and wats on the menu also is not available. Atmosphere is ok...with the "by the river " vibes....service is not up to the mark as the waiters dont even check on you if the the food was good or not. (Maybe that is reserved only for foreign tourists) ..Overall a forgetful experience here.. I came here because it was suggested by a well known goan youtuber moses..(however its nothjng like it was on potrayed on the video. i would not recommend this place for families..its...
