We stayed at the Lalit in January of 2024 where the food was quite disappointing (except for the breakfast). So for lunch one day, we walked out of the hotel grounds and chanced on Femmy's right at the gate. At first, we were hesitant thinking that the food may be no good and the only reason the other diners were there was due to the convenience of the restaurants location. We still went in and ordered the typical Goan thali and boy, were we pleasantly surprised! We had returned from North Goa where we had dined at a lot of local eateries where the food was prepared by the "Aunties" of the house for that authentic Goan homecooked food taste and Femmy's was no less and IMHO, even exceeding the other places we had tried by far! I have a gastro issue from a surgery and Femmy's team had helped me by cutomizing my every meal to help me eat and enjoy the Goan delicacies. A lot of people from the Lalit typically travelled to far away restaurants in search of good food without even realizing what treasures lie just in front of the Hotel! You have to try it and let Femmy or the boys there tell you what is fresh and good, but do try it! If even an online review has swayed you, let it be this one and try Femmy's out. Femmy is a wonderful person who not only cares about you eating there but would give you the shirt off his back to help anyone out, a gem of a man, one very much deserving of your custom and...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant just a short stroll away from the Lalit hotel in South Goa, and it was an experience I'll always cherish.
The food was absolutely delicious, with flavors that reminded me of home. The spices used in each dish were genuine and brought out the true essence of the cuisine. Despite the quick service, the food didn't disappoint; it was evident that a lot of love and care went into its preparation.
I was also impressed by the staff's kindness and attentiveness. They made sure I felt comfortable and took the time to ensure I enjoyed my meal. It was clear that they genuinely cared about their guests' satisfaction.
If you find yourself in South Goa craving authentic, home-cooked flavors, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Whether you're a local or a traveler staying at the Lalit hotel, you'll be treated to a culinary experience like no other. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to savor more of their...
Read moreThis restaurant is located right opposite The Lalit's in Rajbag.
In terms of ambience, it is just a regular restaurant. Functional not fancy. Since this was closer to our stay, we made several visits to this place.
The staff is extremely helpful & attentive. We ordered some gravy which was too spicy for me (my low spice tolerance). The server immediately offered to get me some yoghurt & kept checking if I needed anything else.
In terms of food, the seafood is great. Loved all the tandoori items we tried including Fish & Chicken. We also enjoyed their Goa curries & fish fry. Both quality & quantity were good & very reasonably priced.
Recommend this place for great service, quiet ambience & good food. Do visit if you are in...
