Hungry shark — Restaurant in Goa

We had been to Hungry Shark on Ist of June 2024, to tell you the truth we came across this place just by chance. We were exploring the locality near cavelossim and should this restaurant close to main road yet hidden from normal eyes.

This place is beside the river Sal, overlooking a desolate island and lots of Mangroves. Small boats cruising along, and lots of birds flying around near sunset.

We met Mr Veron, who guided us through different cuisines and local Nito and Urak ( stages of Cashew juice before Feni is prepared).

We ordered classic Urak and then the dry Urak drink as suggested which is prepared somewhat similarly like Dry Martini.

Along with it we had Goan Chicken Soup and as appetizers Bombay Duck ( a fish) pan rava fried varient. Later we had Smoked pork sausage rice which were prepared as local Goan prefered.

We had a great evening and loved the food ,the ambience and the knowledge of Veron and one other charming guy named Aiki ( if I heard it correct). Please visit this place which if properly publicised and manged can give competition to fisherman's wharf. I am...

Very disappointing meal. We were the only people in the restaurant which should of raised alarm bells. My starter came out and we had to wait 20 minutes for my husbands chicken wings starter to appear we tried to cancel them but was told they were ready and turned up with main course. Food was cold and bland. The waiter said he would heat food in microwave for us but was still only lukewarm... we ended up bring it back to our accommodation for the dog. Most expensive and worst meal we have had. Please note the main course does not come with sides you have to order those extra. Plenty of cheaper and nicer...

An amazing place you should visit with a beautiful river side view. The place is calm and peaceful with a beautiful view. The food is very fresh and has traditional authentic Goan flavours. 😍 I totally loved this place.

Editing my review here as I suggested this place to my family and friends and they had a very bad experience here and got cheated with the food quantity and prices. So while my experience here was good sadly my experience of my family was very bad. So wouldn't suggest this place to anyone else. As it's...
