Ridiculous food and bottom level service... We ordered something their best serve veg pasta with some other dishes. We specifically asked the gentleman two times about this veg dish for our vegetarian friend as our other dishes were with fish n meat. Non veg dishes came first. Fish was smelly n chicken was first boiled and then used in dishes. As chicken was hard to have we complained it. The waiter said now it's 2.30 pm so this is what we have to have.
Then the veg dish came. Our friend ate some part and then she noticed something odd ingredient in it. It was prawns. So shocking for us.
Firstly the waiter didn't accept his grave mistake. When we asked him to show the order written by him, only then he accepted that it was fault from their side. Then he passed the blame ball at the cook. We had to wait again for half an hour for another veg dish.
If this could have happened in any other ethical restaurant they could haven't charge for the new dish. It's not at all about money but it shows how ethical you are doing your business. And i beware that this restaurant is in deliberate dark side. We should stay away from this businness houses who not even apologise for their mistakes. And yes the waiter and the manager not even once admit...
Read moreHad meals here on two occasions after reading reviews on another site where reviewers were a little too generous with their ratings of the place. It is located right on the Dabolim-Cavelossim main road just as you reach Cavelossim from the airport. It is an open-air shack with a full bar (with very attractively priced drinks) and the furniture is pretty pedestrian too. Food is served on plastic plates and you may have few insects for company especially during the night. Also, make sure to apply mosquito repellant in the evening/ night.
The first time I had dinner here and we ordered Kingfish Ambottik and Chicken Xacuti along with Tandoori Roti. The chicken turned out to be fine but I found the fish to be too bland for a Goan dish. A can of Kingfisher draught for INR 70/- is quite cheap.
The second time around, we were here for lunch just to have the Veg Thali praised by few others. However, I found the thali to be too bland and lacking variety. Though the menu said Goan Thali, we were served Chhole Masala, Yellow Chana Dal and a Veg (Tori) accompanied by 2 Tandoori Roti and a small serving of Boiled Rice which was not palatable at all. It was a major let down compared to my...
Read moreWe had ordered a Chicken Tandoori from Kinara.... Although I didn't expect much from this restaurant due to it's mixed reviews bur simply had a go...
Regarding the Tandoori... It was very average and the colour of it if you compare with any average Tandoori is sub par.... Absolutely pale colour... I don't know if the restaurant is running out of great colouring or adding water to it....
The taste was like tasting a boiled chicken with little taste of spice.... Not sure if this Tandoori was made in microwave or oven..... Also the portions we got were lesser compared to other restaurants.....
For a price of 350 bucks that too a Full Tandoori absolutely not worth it.... Added to this, I also found the Chicken to be raw and uncooked... I could literally see "BLOOD" attached near the bone of the meat.... Also had one of my relatives sick due to this.....
Definitely not recommending anyone to have a takeaway...
