Upper Deck is an all-day dining coffee shop that serves a choice of cuisine from around the world with an amazing selection of beverages to complement your meal. It offers buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as à la carte options. The restaurant has a spacious and elegant ambiance, with a terrace overlooking the pool and the garden. The staff is friendly, attentive, and professional.
I visited Upper Deck for dinner and I was impressed by the variety and quality of the food. The buffet had dishes from Indian, Continental, Chinese, and Goan cuisines, as well as salads, soups, breads, desserts, and live counters. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Some of the dishes that I enjoyed were the veg biryani, the paneer tikka masala curry, the mushroom tikka, the pasta, and the chocolate cake. The portions were generous and the presentation was appealing.
The service was also excellent. The staff was courteous and helpful. They took care of our needs and preferences. They also suggested some dishes and drinks that we might like. The manager came to our table and asked us about our experience. He also gave us some complimentary vouchers for their other restaurants.
Overall, I had a wonderful time at Upper Deck. It was a great place to enjoy a fine dining experience with my family. The food was tasty, the service was prompt, and the ambiance was relaxing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a quality meal in South Goa. I would rate it 4.5...
Read moreWENT FOR THE BUFFET :
Red Thai curry - tasted like a local dish and did not taste like authentic Thai cuisine. Missing the kafir lime, lemon grass fragrance. It was not creamy enuf.
Baba ganoush - go across the road from the hotel and find a better much better baba ganoush.
Lasagna (veg) - I think they made it in sweet tomato sauce. I don't like sweet vegetables.
The chicken starter was excellent.
The paneer starter wasn't up to the mark.
Braised lamb was decent, a little dry, but edible and tasted good.
Macher jol was good.
Focaccia was good. ragi bread rolls were also a nice touch.
The Asian vegetable soup was good and had a strong garlicky taste.
SMOKED CHICKEN BREAST was in my opinion the best thing of the main course options.
Not many non veg options, 1 fish dish (gravy) .1 pork (Goan) dishes, 1 lamb option.
desserts were a life saver, but do we really need 2 diff flavoured 1kg cakes on the dessert counter?
Honestly - wouldn't recommend a revisit - similar to Mirador at Andheri Mumbai, the buffet is just not up to the mark. Maybe the à la carte is better. Better to visit GRECO next door for their...
Read moreThis restaurant was a surprise. It was the buffet menu that earned them the stars! The breakfast menu had veg and non vegetarian items but also variety of classic Indian dishes as well as made to order breakfast items that stole my heart. The flavors of south India were very traditional giving one a full experience of the south. Nothing was overly spicy but packed a flavorful punch. They surprised us with a dinner buffet one evening that had vegetarian bao amongst other things! From the freshly made entremets to the fresh labneh complete with olive oil and pomegranate seeds, to the fresh kokum juice, this is a win ! There were many chicken , mutton and fish items as well. The staff is young and enthusiastic. Manoj and his team were attentive anf giving warm welcome to all ages! With the mind boggling variety of dishes, I can only imagine how hard the chefs are working to create this menu! Desserts were excellent with mix of western baked items and Indian desserts that were not super sweet. Healthier salad, yogurt bowl and egg options were...
