Paulo's Bar — Restaurant in Goa

Nice place....good vibe.....good music.....but.....a very rude owner. extremely rude and precious about people taking pictures of his precious place. He shouted rudely at a lady who picked up her phone to take pictures. There are no signs anywhere in the bar (at least we didn't see obvious ones) saying photography not allowed.

But this gentleman took it upon himself to shout and scream out loud and his support staff joined in to reprimand a patron who was only doing what any normal person wud have done.

We left with a very bad taste and altho the place is cool and all.....this incident just doesn't cut it. If they think they can shout at their patrons.....and have an attitude of take it or leave it......well.....let's leave it. There are many other places that welcome people and treat them well. Rating , will be very difficult, it would be like deducing you fall in love with. A small place with an open mind and a very big heart. A shack in the shape of a hut, can hear blasting music from the 80s. People doing nothing but smiling and dancing. A verandah where friends sit and talk and make you nothing short of feeling welcome. You feel at home right away. Not many options on the liquor side but whatever served with love is all I need. You look up at the ceiling and it's filled with collages of music posters and musicians , you hear a bell ringing here and then. Do not miss out on the vintage cottage piano sitting discretely right next to the refrigerator....broken, shattered but...

Ok this place has been here for decades. I can't remember what it used to be called. It's ok. It gets packed in the evenings. Shuts strictly at 12 pm. If you want to see what happens to long term foreigners after a few months/years then come here. Grizzled alcoholics line the bar. Some of them pretty aggressive after they've had a few patiala pegs. I saw 3 fights here in one evening, one of them a girl got her legs smashed in by some psycho German bloke built like a tank. No police nothing. It's great for people watching. These long term foreigners think they're oh so cool and special so it's pretty amusing to watch. Just don't...
