Issues we experienced:|- After booking, I was requested to transfer a 50% deposit into their bank account (international), but my bank did not recognise their account & told me it didn’t exist. As it was an international transaction, I did not want to transfer to a “non account” in case it was lost as it’s much harder to get back|- mulberry told me they were charging my credit card twice in the weeks leading up to our stay, which I approved both times & no such transactions happened|- Airport transfer was late & only discovered after I called the hotel to check on it - no messages to let me know, it was only when I prompted we discovered this - so we caught a government cab to accommodation instead as we’d already been in transit 5 hours & didn’t particularly feel like waiting further. The transfer man was texting on WhatsApp telling me sometimes THEY have to wait for arrivals (isn’t this their job?), so ME waiting was acceptable|- Upon check in card machine not working - told we could pay when it was, or get cash out. |- Breakfast delivered 2 hours late - we told them it was far too late & didn’t want it - no apologies, just lies about them knocking on our door after 25 minutes, which was NOT true - we were eagerly waiting food!!|- WiFi and power constantly dropping out (out of their control but annoying all the same to wake up throughout the night to beeping)|- booked Driver to go into town - told to wait 10 mins - waited for 40 mins|- Housekeeping - we were told we needed to be there when cleaning (we have literally stayed at hundreds of hotels across the world & never been told to be present). If this is the policy, we should have been told this on check in - as on the first day as we only discovered this at 4pm after the cleaners hadn’t been. we gave permission for them to enter without us there for the rest of our stay & told them not to worry that particular day & just to bring us extra toilet paper, which took an hour to be delivered|- the next day the cleaners hadn’t been by 230pm, so I prompted the front desk & they turned at 430pm with no linen, sheets, etc - just a mop & a bag full of toiletries. By this stage, my partner was back in the room unwell so turned them away |- we Expressed numerous time the issues we were experiencing & instead of acknowledging our issues, front desk kept saying it was out of their control (if THEY recommend a driver, then it should be “in their control”, if THEY have a kitchen for breakfast, it should be “in their control”, if THEY employ the cleaners, it should be “in their control”)|- went to pay the day before check out, Card machine not working again|- Harassed for payment via WhatsApp while out exploring Vagator - told to get cash for payment so we walked a total of 1.5kms to surrounding 24 hour ATM’s which were closed. We were told to come back to the hotel so they could organize a car to take us to another atm & when we arrived at the hotel to do this, not only was no one waiting for us, there was no car to take us to get cash|- the card machine was conveniently working on our return & front desk put through several attempts. My bank recognized two of them so then I had a rigmarole of being charged twice|- front desk told us to call our bank - to get through, it took 30 mins at an international calling rate of $1.50/minute (total $45AUD) on our mobile - there is no phone in the room|- staff are inexperienced, uncaring and unhelpful|- no apologies until we spoke to the manager via phone after we told front desk this was an urgent matter to speak to someone of authority|- We were offered a free breakfast for our last day, which was a kind gesture, however, after our issues of waiting for breakfast on the first day, we declined. This gesture also does not even scratch the surface of being compensated for the problems we have faced |- not only has it taken up HOURS of our time of waiting & trying to rectify these issues (not to mention collating information & writing this review) on our holiday - in particular Christmas & Boxing Day, two days which are supposed to be the most relaxing, we are out of pocket, angry & frustrated at a less than satisfactory stay. In fact, the worst decision I’ve made (in the hundreds of hotels I have stayed at all across the world) was to choose the Mulberry Suites for a holiday. No matter what their response is to this review, they should not be trusted as they are liars & a complete nightmare...

Read moreWe stayed for 2 days North and 2 days South Goa during our Honeymoon in Dec 2018. I chose Mulberry suite to stay in North Goa through Airbnb. We were very excited as it is known to have very beautiful terrace, Unfortunalty, Upon reaching there we were made to stay in room which was dirty and not the one I booked. When asked to change we were told all rooms are busy and will be available after 2 days, and the manager was also rude. We stayed as we don't want to spoil our honeymoon. Apart from the problem faced, the positive point is that..The location and apartment is good..Mainly rooftop. It was easy to get 2 wheeler on rent through Security guard. Grocery medical wines shops are nearby and main market is also nearby. I like the Vagator very much. Looking to...
