Qi Oriental Cuisine, located in the Taleigao, Goa is a hidden gem that offers an authentic and delightful culinary experience. I recently had the dining at Qi and indulged in their Qi Datshi and Chicken Garlic Noodles, two dishes and a dessert that left a lasting impression.
Firstly, let's talk about the Qi Datshi starter which had a really lip smacking taste. This traditional Bhutanese dish was a revelation. The combination of flavors and textures was simply outstanding. It had a crunchy contrast to the flavouring add-ons.The flavors were well-balanced, and each bite was a harmonious blend of savory and slightly tangy notes. Qi Oriental Cuisine truly captured the essence of Bhutanese cuisine with this dish.
Moving on to the Chicken Noodles, I must say that they exceeded my expectations. The noodles were perfectly cooked and had a delightful springy texture. The chicken was tender and well-marinated, infused with a medley of aromatic spices. The dish was further elevated by the addition of crisp vegetables, which added a refreshing crunch. The sauce that coated the noodles and chicken was flavorful and had a great balance of sweet and savory elements. It was a delicious and satisfying combination that showcased the skillful execution of Oriental flavors.
The ambiance of Qi Oriental Cuisine is warm and inviting, with an elegant yet cozy interior being a small area they have maintained it perfectly. The staff members were attentive and provided excellent service throughout my visit. They were knowledgeable about the menu and were happy to offer recommendations based on personal preferences.
Overall, my dining experience at Qi Oriental Cuisine was nothing short of exceptional. The Qi Datshi and Chicken Noodles and the dessert were standout dishes that showcased the restaurant's commitment to authenticity and quality. I highly recommend Qi to anyone looking to explore the rich and diverse flavors of Oriental cuisine in Taleigao. Whether you're a fan of oriental delicacies or crave deliciously crafted noodles, Qi will undoubtedly satisfy your...
Read moreA small place nested in a bylane of Taleigao. 100metres ahead of Peep Kitchen, a small bylane leads you to the Qi Pan Asian, with has its unique logo reflected the smiling dumpling. The first question on arrival, have you booked a table, the answer was No. They said no issues, and made us comfortable. We opted for OLD SCHOOL VEG MOMO and it is one of the best Momos we have had in Goa. You have both veg and nonveg option. We opted for veg and it came with a type of peanut oiled chutney. It was yummy too. The momo outer layer was as thin as possible. Next we tried Qi Veg Thupka Soup splitted into two portions. Worth the cost, the amount was quite good. It had a lot of veggies, flavour and burnt garlic flavour stood out. It was yummy too. It cleaned my food pipe for sure. We tried Fresh watermelon juice and had no complaints either. Since we were full and we were driving back at 730pm to Vasco, asked them for Veg Chilli Garlic noodles with least chillies. It was packed well and tasty damn good, even after a hour of drive. Very cost effective pan asian cuisine. Limited choices but enough to have one for your choice. In all a place to visit or take away. A small place which is taken care by adorable young personalities who always had a broad smile. Thank you Simran, Soham and Nihaar. Please see you maintain the quality of food you...
Read moreI had heard a lot about this place and was excited to finally try it out. While the food lived up to the hype, my overall experience was far from enjoyable.
From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome. There was only one waiter, and unfortunately, he was rude and condescending, making me feel like coming here was a mistake right away.
That being said, the food was undeniably amazing. The assorted veg dim sums were fantastic, served with a yellow coconut-based curry that was absolutely delicious. The shiitake mushroom bao was good too, though the bao-to-filling ratio felt slightly off. The mango and avocado sushi wasn’t to my liking, but my friends loved it, so that’s subjective.
Now, even if I were to overlook the poor service, what completely ruined the experience for me was what happened at the end. To my utter shock, I saw a huge rat crawl down the wall. I understand that pest problems can happen, but seeing this in a restaurant was beyond horrifying. If this is what’s visible in the dining area, I don’t even want to imagine what the kitchen must be like.
As much as I loved the food, the presence of a rat and the arrogant service left a terrible impression. Sadly, these are the reasons I won’t...
