Café Ave Maria- Taleigao — Restaurant in Goa

Hi, I never really post certain reviews but I'm sorry I had to n I was a regular customer before COVID n after it too I used to visit but as U know life can get busy. I have given 5 stars only for the owners n the kindness n gratitude they show towards the customers and especially when Ashley used to work, He was really great at service n also other girls who used to work before But alot have changed since then n I have been busy so I miss their coffee snacks pastries served at Cafe Ave Maria one of my fav Cafe's in Panjim But the past few weeks I visited the cafe in the evening n there is this girl who wears spectacles is frustrated about something n everything it's scary to ask her to do anything like we are not coming there for free we pay n eat but she really acts weird.

Before when the owners used to take care of the cafe they used to play so beautiful songs n the cafe was calm but now i donno these girls put on the music so loud n it's scary to ask them to keep it down because they give weird look for everything.

This made me really upset before the girls who used to work wer never like this they were different n good towards customer. I understand sometimes it's busy and to work under pressure it's hard to manage n I myself is from hospitality industry n trust me I did not like the spects girls service she needs alottt of training guys. But whenever I visited it was not crowded. Anyways I never complain for these silly things as I understand it's hard to manage but trust me this spectacle girl is scary n she made me to do this. Sept 2025 - Wanted to update this because after the incident below I have ordered the alle belle several times and never had an issue again. I do take the precaution of ordering in the first half of the day to be on the safe side. The one time I got the bad order I had ordered in the evening. Have to say - their alle belle are the best I have ever tasted. Even better than the home made ones I've had as a child.

May 2025 review - 1 star - Ordered on Swiggy. I've ordered before from here but never had such an awful experience. Had guests over so ordered a dozen alle belle because I've had them before and they were great and I figured everyone would have 1 or 2.. Also ordered 3 roast beef bread, 4 chops and 2 donuts. Except for the chops everything I ordered was going bad! We opened the alle belle first and took a bite and immediately it was apparent. Both the smell and the taste. Immediately complained to Swiggy who gave a partial refund. Little while later opened the roast beef and that was also smelling! The donut was stale but edible. But the alle belle and the beef bread were inedible.

Go to the shop and order if you must. That way if there is any problem you can raise it directly. Do not Swiggy. Clearly whoever was sending out the food today doesn't give a damn about...

Heard of this place, so stopped for some breakfast. We ordered beef cutlet bread, beef patties, chicken Mayo sandwich and tea. Well to start with, I loved that it gives feeling for modern cafes by the road and I'm all for it. Clean and well maintained. What I didn't like was the quality of food. It was dry. Specially you'd want your beef cutlet freshly made but was ready packed and so it was tasteless. Then the chicken Mayo was a complete failure. Wasn't well spread and the taste was very ordinary, actually wasn't even sure what taste was it. Lastly a young chap, who I presume was the owner came in. He was very friendly, greeted us well and energetic, thats what we made out of his interaction. Maybe it was an odd day for them. But do see a good future to this cafe. Wish them...
