🤗.....SAME OLD SAME OLD.....🤗 THERE'S NO "SNUG" HERE

One of many 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 UK tourist orientated Shacks that, for some reason, are common in this vicinity.

It has a basic decor compared to others & the Menu (see photo) indicates clearly their 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 Brit customer base.

I must say that the food was good & Roast Lamb (difficult to find in India) was excellent although a tad expensive. YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE....

Topics of conversation around tables ranged from the Government, Housing Benefits, Social Security, Coronation Street (not surprisingly), Eastenders, Football + overall "whinging".

So what's missing to make it perfect :- copies of the "Sun" & "Mirror" newspapers, dart board, pool table, pies are there but not Steak & Kidney pudding or Brussel Sprouts, knotted handkerchiefs, rolled up trousers and braces, deckchairs instead of sunbeds.

If you want "BLACKPOOL WITH SUN" (minus the Tower, Trams & Amusements) then this.... ....MAYBE THE PLACE FOR YOU

Not sure Ena Sharpies, Minnie Caldwell or Albert Tatlock would be impressed OR feel...

Feb 2025 • family We spent a lot of time in this shack this holiday and never had a bad meal or drinks, the food was so good and a great price we had Sunday diner here which was about £6 a really nice dinner with 3 meats absolutely lovely we had the steak pie another day which was full of lean steak, i had the garlic king prawns 10 of them and they were stunning, the staff were amazing and couldnt do enough for you, The owners Joseph and Anna have had the Shack 35years so they must be doing something right also the waters Lex and Iris were very good and helpful getting us a Taxi when needed , I would recommend highly 5* My Favourite shack...

Some harsh reviews here and in some ways I can understand, the Brits abroad is not for everyone including us. However if you are here for months as a lot of us are some pie and mash occasionally can be quite welcome. The owners are Indian's and doing their best to accommodate us whilst trying to survive a season with a reasonable profit. The portion size is more than adequate and in our experience very tasty. If you are here for a fortnight enjoy your excellent Indian food, if you are here for months and fancy a taste of home give it a try. The beef pie with mash and veg...
