OYO 7954 Zac Beach Resort — Hotel in Goa

Where to start!!!??? We read the reviews before and we were skeptical about the services but we chose this hotel because we couldn't find other optionfor the exact period we wanted. So we went with hope that it wouldn't be so bad :) But it was trouble from the beginning. The check-in is at 11AM, we reached there at 7:00AM and we have to wait there for 4 Hours at the reception, it was madness at the reception. The general impression from the beginning was that they were unfriendly and not paying attention to the client at all.

This is a hotel with 1 or 2 stars! And that's a lot! The staff is horrible, unkind and unpolite. Especially a guy who worked there, he looks very friendly but he make us fool by saying that he is helping Us. I don't want to mention his name.

I was in the hotel because of a College Trip I applied for. I spent 5 days in the hotel. I shared room with a 4 Fellow Students.The first problem I found was related to the key. In the reception they didn't give us the key so we have to wait in the room for half day .rooms have TV but there were no cells in the remote.rooms were untidy and not clean and they didn't clean the rooms untill you call them.In general, the facilities are not very good for 5 Star Resort. There is no swimming-pool in this 5 star Resort.

the hospitality is the worst ever at reception they are impolite and that makes you feel terrible. They gave 1 towel for four person and did not wash the towel in five days that i was there.They never gave us fresh towels and they never changed the sheets.The so called resort was just the dirties place.We also claimed to our guide and he just played the doom like he didn't know what kind of .... resort. rooms, bathrooms were dirty. The tablecloths are so dirty that we could hardly eat.

The meal was not good. If you don't have high expectations you can find something to eat :). We didn't stayed at the beach, during the day it was full and you couldn't find a free lounge chair. We mostly stayed at the beach in the morning and in the after noon, there you could find free deckchairs and umbrellas.

I just wonder by what means did they get a 5* when a real expert would barely give 1 or 2. I have a lot more bad things to tell about this hotel but it's just not worth it.

As a conclusion Food awful, Room service awful, too! I am very disappointed. I highly recommend that you do not go to this Resort rest...

I was here with family in Oct 2019 for 5 days, It is one of the best places to be. It is on the beach. I booked this location as it is very easy for family to access beach and get back to room without having to walk a long way with wet cloths. This is just 500m from calangute center where shopping complexes starts, water sports starts. Beach near resort looks like a private beach with not many around.

Pros: Location (9/10) Step out of resort and you are on beach. 500m from shopping area. Mobile signal (8/10) Wifi (7/10) ok speed but of power goes then it stops. Food (8/10) not much verity but we can ask them to prepare what we like and they will do. Taste was good. Management (8/10) we reached early like 9AM but our check-in timing was 11AM but they didn't charge or complain, even while checkout I requested to stay till 4PM instead of normal 11AM and they obliged for a fee. Service (8/10) the service boys Raj and Nikhil ware happy to serve any time and ware friendly and I never felt that they ware unhappy for our repetitive orders. Good for family (7/10) Might not be as safe as govt hotels but when I stayed, there ware few other families and couples. So its not like those cheap hotels with only drunkards every where. On week end (Fri, Sat, Sun) bachelors do come and sit near the rooms (open space) and drink. If one gets a room on 1+ floors then it should not be a problem for families.

Cons: Parking (1/10) there is no parking space for 4wheelers. We have to park it on a side road 50m off but that road itself can hold only one car so if you have a car then you have to park it at a far distance and every time you need to get to car you have to walk all the way. Accessibility (2/10) there is no other exit than on the beach so if you go out for a walk in the evening and after its dark either you have to book a taxi or have to walk on the beach in the dark. Connection (3/10) without your own vehicle it is tough to get out of this place as you need to walk for 1km to get a taxi, I suggest you get a couple of taxi drivers numbers so you can call them from hotel and they will come to pick you up. Shacks (??) sadly they ware renovating when I was there so I couldn't get those.

What a great resort it is!! It's location is just a minute's walk to the beach, the scenic view from there restaurant adds more to the beauty. The rooms were comfortable, very good location, superb wi fi. Food was unexpectedly very good. We loved it. Last but not the least the staff is just amazing, helpful and responsive. They just helped us in every possible way they could as we were only 2 girls on the trip. Would definitely recommend it to friends. People can stay at this resort very peacefully so you can go for it. Undoubtedly one of the finest stays in Goa. Close to beach and good value for money! Will come...
