Sharda classic is one of the oldest and well-known family restaurant in Margao. Being a regular, we must say they have maintained their standard very well over the years.

Must try: Special fish thali, Mutton sukha, Coriander chicken, Seafood platter

We ordered: Seafood platter: Wow this one is real treat for a seafood lover. You get 10 types of fish and that too with variety of Goan preparations like rava fry, cafreal, recheado and so on. It costs 2.5k and can be shared by 3-4 people. We literally devoured the whole platter! Would definitely recommend this! Special fish thali: Undoubtedly this is the most ordered item by the diners. Their fish thali is well curated with generous amount of rava fry fish! Mutton sukha: If one thing that has been constant since the day one of Sharda classic, then it's mutton sukha! This has been our favourite since so many years. It's the must try whenever you are at Sharda classic. Coriander chicken: Recommended. For a change we tried this from their oriental section. It was succulent and full of flavours. Chicken lababdar: Rich, creamy and flavoursome. Combine it with some cheese garlic naan and it's heavenly. Chicken alishan tikka: Comes with 2 types of tikka kebabs - Tandoori kebab and Hariyali kebab. Both were good.

Service: Prompt. Courteous and helpful staff.

Cost: Most of the items are in range of 200 to 400 bucks.

Today I had the opportunity to try out a Special Fish Thali at SHARDA BAR AND RESTAURANT @ Fatorda, Margao, South Goa and well it was an unforgettable experience.

The Thali was a perfect representation of traditional Goan flavours and textures with the combination of the best possible authentic goan delicacies which includes the perfect Fish. The Fish was incredibly fresh and cooked to ultimate perfection. The Thali had all the best possible authentic Goan sides which added up to its great flavours.

Each and every dish was perfectly spiced and complimented each other. The first time I have had salad with two small dry fish in them. It was unique but tasty. Lovely pudding too in the thali which was a bit different from the usual.

If you are a Sea food lover and especially a Thali lover then this is a place to go to. The ambiance was great. Less noise. Aircon was a perfect thing as the temperature outside was very hot. All in all a great experience. A must visit place...

Half of food (dinner) ordered was served 45 mins after order was taken by them. While taking order we were told that food will be served in 15 mins. We were extremely hungry after a long road journey from Bangalore.

When asked why such enormous delay, we were aghast to hear from the supervisor that customer should wait patiently!!!!!! If this is the culture of a restaurant only hope that they get more patient customers.

When we wanted to talk to the Manager - Vijay, we were misdirected to 3rd floor. He was no where to be found.

Moreover we ordered Goan cuisine . Taste was no way near Goan. Without completing our dinner, disgusted, we wanted to pay and leave. We were surprised to see that items not served were included in the bill!!! They are such shameless.

I earnestly request those who wish to try food from this restaurant to go to any other restaurant and you will get much better service and food. Going to Sharda Classic will be a classic mistake and waste of...
