If you are in porvorim and looking for a good food place than look no further then basil leaf.
Location : Take the first left after you cross Bharat petroleum, porvorim, goa. You will see golden plateau board on the left turn.
Alcohol is not served yet at this restaurant but you can carry your own booze here, this way you save on the vat that would have been added to your bill.
Perfect for a small get together with upto 50 people occupancy, but have limited parking space. They have this huge screen where one can enjoy sports. Good ambience and service.
Dishes I tried here are as follows: Starters : garlic pepper prawns, fish Pheonix(There is a similar dish in chicken which has the same sauce. The dish is called as Malaysian chicken. Try that if you are not a fan of fish), Bangkok prawns, chicken dumpling(this takes a while to prepare so I would recommend to order this at the start only) and chicken lollypop.
Main coarse : rara mutton, butter chicken(if you like sweet butter chicken then you may try this one), chicken biryani and cafreal chicken biryani(has a goan touch to it but not as great as the normal biryani). All the gravy dishes go well with butter rotis.
Dessert : gulab jamun(not that great)
