Ritz Classic Mall De Goa — Restaurant in Goa

I recently visited Ritz Classic at Mall de Goa with my family for a birthday lunch. Firstly, upon entering the restaurant, my family and I were made to stand for nearly an hour, with no seating arrangement for us. At one point in time we also felt like exiting the restaurant because of such a long waiting time. While we were standing in the restaurant, it was very inconvenient both for the customers waiting to be seated as well as for the service staff to pass by with their orders, as there was a severe lack of space. Finally, upon being seated, we ordered our food, but the server bluntly told us that a couple of the dishes we ordered were not available and would take a lot of time to be prepared so we might as well order something else. If this is the case then those dishes should not be a part of the menu in the first place. The seat assigned to us was right besides the waiting queue where the customers waiting in line were actually getting impatient and were eyeing at the people dining very angrily. In short it was very uncomfortable and inconvenient for us as there was no privacy whatsoever, thus creating a very unpleasant ambience for us.

The root of the entire problem is because of poor management - Special arrangement has to be made for customers waiting to be seated. This arrangement should not be next to the people eating as it spoils the entire experience. Foods that are not available or will be denied to the customers should not be part of the menu in the first place. As soon as a table was empty we were made to sit in the given area without it even being thoroughly cleaned as the tables and seats were messy after the previous family left. The seats were not even being cleaned properly for the next party to have a pleasant dining experience. The person in charge of allotting seats was just trying to rush the customers who are still in the process of eating. We had not even finished eating our meal or paying our bill however he was ready to make the next customers sit down in our seat. It felt like a money making racket and not at all hospitable.

I would not recommend this place to anyone who wishes to have a peaceful and pleasant...
