This is Prahlad Sukhtankar's second venture, the first one being the immensely popular and successful, 40-cover Black Sheep Bistro. Why Black Sheep? Well, Prahlad comes from a construction family background. He and his wife met when learning at the Catering School in Lausanne, Switzerland. He subsequently knocked around and became Head Sommelier at the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver. To cut a long story short, he came back to his Goan roots and along with his wife opened his first venture, Black Sheep Bistro. Far removed from the family calling hence a black sheep. Get it?! This Bistro had a quirky, fusion menu divided into small plates and big plates and a large variety of meaty and vegan options. The bar is something to write home about calling on all of Prahlad's Sommelier skills. There are, for example, at least 40 different types of home-made gins on offer. Anyway, to cut a long story short the Blackmarket restaurant is a 140 cover venture with a large bar and spread-out seating. The food is, again, quirky fusion. It can't be described but has to be sampled. Friendly, hospitable staff, ever-ready to advise if you're in two minds. We usually go either for cocktails from the large repertoire of wine and a large sampling of small plates because one fills up rapidly but you can do your thing in the relaxed ambience you'll find. One thing's for sure, you won't come away dissatisfied if you like the sort of sophisticated...

One of the best fine dining restaurant in Panjim! It’s a must visit for all the foodies as they have some interesting fusion food options. The ambiance is very chic and cozy.

Must try: Smoked chicken baos, 5 spiced lotus stem, Peanut crusted fish fillet with orange beurre blanc, Malvani mushroom stroganoff,

We ordered: Smoked chicken baos: Must try! Bao buns were soft and fluffy with lip smacking chicken filling. You will feel like ordering another portion of this for sure. 5 spiced lotus stem: Highly recommended for vegetarians! We tried lotus stem for the first time and Black market made sure that it would leave a mark in our memory. It was yumm! Arancini: Arancini balls were yummy. The sauce served with it complemented it very well. Peanut crusted fish fillet with orange beurre blanc: This looks as fancy as it sounds! But taste wise it was undoubtedly scrumptious. Sea bass fillet coated in peanut based crumbs and served with beurre blanc sauce which is on sweeter side! It was a great combination. Malvani mushroom stroganoff: Must try. This was heavenly preparation with creamy mushrooms and rice. Loved it. Lasagna: Unfortunately this didn’t meet our expectation! Mid layer of lasagna was so hard we couldn’t even eat it.

Service: Prompt service. Courteous staff.

Price: Most of the items are in the range 350 to 450 bucks.

Overall we had a great time here and loved the food. Would definitely recommend...

ATTITUDE attitude ATTITUDE,

0/10 on GRATITUDE by girl treating herself as MANAGER.

She will NOT ALLOW to call anyone to help as she is the manager and Noone is above her and they seemingly are trained to treat guests like they WANT at their WILL. You also get those filthy laughs especially when you are pissed, on your face when she is passing by you.

So be prepared for all this if you want to have a good evening with your family and friends.

Few other staff were good till we didn't ask to remove service charge due to poor service initially as their SMILE WENT OFF immediately during see off.

We stay locally and loved visiting this place but the staff RUINED our evening by showing God level attitude. Food was the only thing that made us stay especially for our 10 year old kid as he liked the food here and was hungry.

Sorry to say but alone Nice Food DOESN'T COVER FOR THE BAD ATTITUDE of employees.

You cannot force people to sit under Direct AIR CONDITIONING somehow so strong that it gives you GOOSEBUMPS and makes your family FEEL SICK especially when you came to enjoy your dinner. And on asking for help you are treated so badly by this girl who is ready to win all battles with their guests. BAD ATTITUDE will RUIN this place sooner.

They tried to get down the temperament later and OFFERED complimentary DESERT to cover up the SERVICE FLAW but the DAMAGE was...

We visited The Black Sheep Bistro (BSB) for lunch on a rainy day and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Located within the Fort Aguada area a popular tourist destination the restaurant is surrounded by a historic charm. Do note that there’s a ₹100 parking charge and an entry fee of ₹100 per person for Goan residents visiting the fort. However if you're heading only to the restaurant these charges are waived. BSB is a fine-dining restaurant with both outdoor and indoor seating options. Due to the rain we chose to sit in the indoor AC section which was calm and quiet with soft music adding to the relaxed ambiance. We happened to be the only guests at the time which made the atmosphere even more serene. We started with some fancy mocktails which were beautifully presented and refreshing. The bao and chicken starters were excellent full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The rice and noodles we ordered were also delicious and satisfying. Presentation across dishes was impressive and everything we tried felt thoughtfully prepared. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welltrained which enhanced the overall dining experience. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of food, service, and ambiance justify the cost. Overall, a great experience. we’ll definitely be back for more.
