The Chocolate Room Gogol Margao Goa — Restaurant in Goa

Shame to say that this place is going the wrong direction from what it really could have been.

Was quite disappointed with my recent visits but unfortunately there's no other place that does similar dishes in South Goa, so you are limited to them.

Food - I tried a few things on my recent visits. First was the Chocolate Lava Lava which was honestly a complete let down. A dry cake, that was microwaved until hot and then had chocolate syrup drizzled on top, with a blob of ice-cream.

Considering the description in the menu, it was nothing like it and a complete let down.

The other dish I had on a different visit was the Chocolate Brownie Bomb, this was better, however the brownie was a little stale.

Service: Not the best, but not the worst either. Waiters seem a little confused but have good intentions. I wanted to order a latte but iced, the waiter told me that's not possible, but if I wanted a coffee that's iced I can have the Iced Cappuccino instead.

I found it odd, but didn't pursue it too much as I needed a caffeine kick. Although I got my kick, the coffee itself lacked any flavour, which was a little disappointing.

Ambience: Unfortunately on both my visits, the place was quite stuffy and humid upon entry and the AC's were only switched on when I sat down. Unfortunately by the time it got cool enough to enjoy, It was time for me to leave. Apart from that, it was nice and clean and...

The latest craze in Margao ,just a gimick for selfies ,got two shakes a regular chocolate cake shake and the most expensive in the menu the lindt chocolate shake the server spoke half broken English before we tasted the shakes we asked if the drinks were the right ones as both look same (for info we had a lindt chocolate shake in their franchise chocolate shop in Melbourne 25 days ago for 6.5 Aus dollars that's less than what we payed here.) and they looked different to say the least... whatever...to our horror they both tasted the same except a sticky bit of chocolate in the lindt shake ...the milk was blender in a mixer for a long time thus the fat got sperated and you could tasted it the whipped cream is of a lower quality so is the topping....I just put the picture judge your self .the best thing about this place is the parking ...great place to show off and add pic to Facebook or Instagram but the drinks are...

Very late orders, plastic was mixed in the Ferrero rocher milkshake, when we complained about this, manager said mistakes happen and I don't care about the reviews. This is in the Madgaon branch. Total dissatisfaction, worst experience, had to cancel other plans due to late orders. The owner is a very arrogant guy, I was just giving him feedback so that this does not happen with the other customers, but he said "I DON'T CARE, YOU THINK ABOUT YOURSELF AND NOT THE OTHER CUSTOMERS", these are the EXACT words he used, he does not value the customers at all. And the plastic was present in the milkshake, even he saw it, else I don't think he would give a replacement for the milkshake. We had different plans and had to cancel all the plans due to their late services and the arrogant manager.
