Service: Delayed, laid-back, and highly mismanaged service. Staff: Lousy, incompetent, and inexperienced staff. Management: Extremely money-minded, lacking empathy, and failing to deliver value for money. Hospitality: No attention to detail and absolutely poor hospitality.
We chose this restaurant as our wedding venue for its ambiance and food, but the service was pathetic. Our special day turned into a nightmare and was harrowing for us and disastrous for our guests.
Guest Treatment: Our guests were poorly treated, even mistreated. The staff refused to serve drinking water(a basic provision at restaurants) and switch on the fans despite multiple requests, leaving elders suffering in Goa’s heat and humidity. Water Service: When asked for water, the staff claimed the manager hadn't permitted it yet. The manager stated that drinking water would only be served when the bar opened, which was scheduled for the reception! This crucial information was not communicated when we were pestered for advances. Service Speed: Service was incredibly slow, and waiters couldn't keep track of the tables or what they had served where, even though it wasn’t a large gathering. They kept serving the same tables, neglecting half the tables. Inconsiderate: They showed no concern for guest experience and satisfaction but were adamant about closing the billing before the bride and groom had even eaten.
As an event manager, I understand how venues should operate when catering to a wedding party. While they might be doing alright as a restaurant, it is the most unprofessional and non-cooperative venue for hosting an event.
I deeply regret choosing this place as our wedding venue. Despite our efforts to make the day perfect, our guests had the worst experience ever at The Farmhouse Restaurant, Varca, Benaulim, Goa. They don't deserve...
Read moreIf you're looking for an unforgettable farm-to-table dining experience, The Farmhouse is the perfect destination. Located in Benaulim the South Goa, this charming restaurant offers a menu that features locally-sourced ingredients that are transformed into mouth-watering dishes that will delight your taste buds.
The first thing you'll notice upon entering The Farmhouse is the really beautiful scenic view and interiors The decor is rustic and cozy, with exposed brick walls, wooden tables and chairs, that creates an intimate ambiance. The restaurant also has a lovely outdoor seating area where you can enjoy your meal surrounded by nature.
Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at The Farmhouse is a true celebration of the local cuisine, with dishes that highlight the freshest and most flavorful ingredients available. We started with the majorly chicken starters soon realising the fresh fish dishes like Fish Fingers, Prawns Racheado some fish fry and also smoked White Salmon that they have to offer. For our main courses, we opted for the Prawns Pulav, Chicken Biryani and some Creamy Pasta. Both dishes were outstanding, with perfectly cooked fish and creamy.
The service at The Farmhouse was also really worthy, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who were happy to answer any questions we had about the menu or the ingredients. Overall, I would highly recommend The Farmhouse to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience that celebrates the best of local, seasonal...
Read moreFarmhouse Benaulim is a charming spot, beautifully designed with a wooden finish, nestled by the lake with a lovely fountain on the other side. The food is great and reasonably priced, making it a good choice for a meal. However, there are a few areas that could use improvement.
The service, unfortunately, is a bit of a challenge. The restaurant is quite large, and getting the attention of the wait staff can be difficult, especially if you're seated near the lake where the bar counter is far away. It can take some time to get someone’s attention, and once you do, the staff tends to forget things, requiring you to remind them multiple times.
Another downside is the music – it's loud enough to make conversations uncomfortable, as it hits your eardrums rather than setting a relaxing tone for dining.
Must try : Prawns biryani , Calamari batter fry, Mussels Rava Malasa, Chicken Yakitori.
If you plan to eat gravy and naan or roti , make sure you come for dinner here as they keep their tandoor shut during lunch hours resulting in non availability of Breads like roti, chapati or naan.
Overall, it's a nice place for lunch, but the service and noise levels can definitely be improved. Would recommend it for a casual meal if you're prepared for a bit of a wait and...
