The Pavilion located in Benaulim Goa is a nice restaurant to visit with sitting areas inside and outside (in garden setting atmosphere) with pleasant ambience.
It has a nice bar with good selection of Beer, wine, Brandy, whiskey and so on. The place is tidy with clean wash rooms. The service was good.
However, the food was a bit of a disappointment. For dinner, we ordered chilli chicken, chicken Vindaloo, butter naans and fried rice etc with a few drinks.
The chilli chicken was excellent, so were the butter naans.
But the chicken vindaloo was a big let-down! It lacked the spiciness and flavours for starters, but what ruined this dish and the dinner itself for us, is that -- there was Fish-Scales in the gravey, which also smelt/tasted fishy.
I mean, I am a fish eater too and enjoy seafood but not when it's mixed in so-called -- chicken vindaloo!
As such, I am rating this place as 3 star based solely on my personal experience on that evening/dinner (which otherwise would have...

Was drawn by signboard stating a variety of Thalis were available at dinner. However was not too happy with the modso fish thali, probably compared to the other places we had eaten fish thali's.
The aloo gobi veg dish was quite good. Used the tandoori roti's given with the fish thali to eat this.
Advantage is that this is close to Royal Palms, where we were staying. ( The food at Royal palms any day better, but no thali's here). Ambience is ok, as a couple we could converse with each other without raising our voices. Not much place for children to run about.
The wash basin area was not to my liking so didn't wash my hands here,...

We tried Fish Fry, Ross Omelette, and Bebinca for dessert. While the Fish Fry was decent, it could have been better. The Ross Omelette was our first encounter with this Goan dish, and though it was unique, we recommend trying it at a street-side vendor for an authentic experience. The Bebinca was delicious but disappointingly small for the price.
Considering the competitive dining scene in the area, with options like Pedro’s, Johncy’s, and Southern Deck, Pavilion may not be the top choice. However, it’s still worth a visit if you’re looking to explore multiple restaurants...
