Tomato's — Restaurant in Goa

The restaurant Tomatoes may have been a good place to grab a bite before, not now. I gave this restaurant 2 chances(once in 2021 and recently in 2023), and both the times i was disappointed.

Not all the dishes they serve are great (comparing other restaurants with similar price range). When it comes to taste, they are average at best. And when in comes to portion sizes, maybe ordering in the restaurant, the quantity is adequate, but not online, it's too less (pathetic at times). To an extent it's understandable why the quantity would be less if ordering from Zomato or Swiggy, but heck, reduce the prices too!!. The quantity is so less, it's not justifiable to charge such prices, even after applying coupon codes (Again, i am comparing other restaurants in the same price range).

My recent complain this time, is regarding the management. They didn't display any adequate customer service, nor were empathetic towards any of my grievances. The food items i ordered, one of that had a bad taste (i would say they used ingredients that were spoilt or atleast not fresh), the 2nd item had a very low quantity (in 2021 also it was the same old pathetic story). Can't tolerate such BS at places that don't know to serve and treat a...

We had ordered Sealed Fish Thali from Swiggy a few days back...... The items available in the Thali as mentioned on Swiggy didn't really showed up....

It was supposed to have around 7 items served with the Thali.... And the Kismur wasn't even served.... Totally misleading the customers......

They served the fish curry twice in containers.... Even though it was not worth the taste..... Just plain masala water that's really spicy...... Thanks to Swiggy atleast I made a refund on Kismur...

The Basmati Rice they used were the only good thing..... Taste was very average even through this being a good seller on Swiggy.... Also better buy in Portion Bags than Sealed.....

Had a tough time opening up the Seal Packet with their Plastic Plate and tons of taping.... Not recommended for Fish Thalis........

I also tried Chicken 65 which was much better...... Portions too were great and most of them were...

If there was a negative rating I would definitely go for that, because this restaurant is pathetic on the hygiene side,

1. First of all I've seen them using a bill fallen in melted butter(which is generally used for naan) to spread butter on the naan.
2. I've seen them packing a fallen piece of naan to be delivered to customer
3. that place smells like someone has urinated there.
4. If you'll want to get diarrhoea eat from this place or order from this place

Note: I've seen all these things that's why I'm writting this comment.

The decision is upto you'll, if your health is priority, than avoid this restaurant. But if you'll don't care about your health do visit...
