URBAN TURBAN ARAMBOL — Restaurant in Goa

Walked in here because their server Samir had a great smile and energy. The place was very welcoming and well put together. The owners are very friendly and make you feel right at home. The music is classic with a mix of Punjabi hits, and Goa style trance at times.

I would highly recommend you order the LIT here. Tastiest one I’ve come across so far and there’s no skimping on the alcohol. Watch out, though, they can be addictive. The owner is a mixologist extraordinaire.

I had the privilege of trying out their brand new sheesha with a special flavor from Dubai. A hint of mint, some paan like flavor and some other things I couldn’t quite identify.

The food is good, particularly their chicken/fish tandooris. I spent the entire day there chilling, working and interacting with the owners as well as some of the other guests. Come...

Food: Ordered "Mix Seafood Briyani", mediocre at best. The rice quality was good, but it was over done! It had 2-3 pieces of Prawn and King Fish. And the gravy in which Prawn and King Fish was cooked in didn't compliment the rice flavours at all.

Service: Though there weren't many customers at that time, it took more than an hour for food to reach our tables, which was disappointing but not a deal-breaker.

Price: As for the prices, it's good considering you are eating near the beach with that view.

NOTE: Don't expect you will be billed as per the MRP on items for example Soft Drinks etc, you will be charged at least 1.5-2 times.

TLDR: Mediocre food and service....

Though the location the food and service is very poor. We took fish fry - its taste was of Kitchen King masala and was over done. Thereafter we took paneer kadhai and it tasted exactly same as fish, of Kitchen King masala. When I mentioned it to waiter, the response I get it - "खाना तो दिल से खाते हैं" - one should eat with ones heart.

Water and hand tissues were not provided promptly and we had to specifically request for them.

On the positive side food was served timely.
