I am in Goa for last four days and was fed up with Daal-Roti-Curry routine . Wanted to try out something different and tasty . My son Parth suggested Shimons Falafel . I was hesitant but on his insistance agreed. Now I can say without any doubt that if had not agreed I would have missed the best and tastiest food in Aarambol . I specially and specifically wish to introduce and recommend Shimon's Falafel to all my Indian friends who are not initiated to Mediterranean food to try Shimon's . Each of the dishes are outstanding and tasty and those who are vegetarians have multiple choices . Talk to the owner Kamal Gulati and he not only will suggest you a good dish but will cook the dish himself . He is a passionate chef . The best thing about this place is that kitchen is very hygienic and ingredients are fresh . Everything is cooked before your eyes and served piping hot ! Kamal suggested Sakshuka Combo with Pineapple Coconut juice to me and I really enjoyed this combination. Fresh juices , shakes, tea and coffee offerings are very creative and imaginative . Icing on the cake is that Shimon's Falafel gives you value for your money !!! Highly...
Read moreI visited this place after reading awesome reviews, hoping to get good arabic or Mediterranean food I know whats the authentic taste of these cuisines I've lived 10 years abroad, so if to describe their food I'll share my exeprience I've ordered falafel plate and shakshuka with lemon honey tea, falafel was great it had crunch to it, but hummus was dry not delicious consistency it just didn't have any flavour to it, pita bread was also dry, shakshuka tasted average, if to describe it in general I can't say it's the best food there is in arambol but yeah ok to eat here like anywhere else in arambol My suggestions to the owner :- visit taaza restraunt indore, or any best hummus place and compare your taste improve on it because no Arabic cafe will function with a compromised hummus Add some moisture to dishes by increasing drizzle of olive oil, add spiced kahwa to your menu it will compliment your food, I will visit the place again next month and change my rating if I see it's worth it not just that I will add a five star review to my Instagram with 200k follows...
Read moreThe owner took our order and we ordered a shakshuka combo and a falafel in a pita. The owner suggested we try the falafel in a roll and we loved the suggestion, he also asked us for how spicy we want it and we said medium and it was executed perfectly. We also ordered an iced coffee and a lemonnanna, they were both brilliant. The coffee had the right amount of sweet, bitterness and creaminess. The lemonnanna also was very well balanced with the right proportions of lemon, mint and sugar. We were also going to order a salad, the owner told us what we had ordered was plenty and he was right. We were stuffed by the time we finished our dinner and drinks. Overall a great place to get falafel and Lebanese in general. The open late in the afternoon so only plan lunches and dinners here. Will be going back a few more times before leave Goa, and will go back every time we come to the North of Goa. The Google map takes you inside some alley, so once you hit the market of Arambol ask...
