😕😕...NOTHING GREAT... 😕😕

It's basically a shed under a corrugated roof with grilled windows, a lino covered floor, the most uncomfortable steel chairs and dirty looking tables.

It caters for around 40-50 people but is reminiscent of a PRISON CANTEEN..... 😰😰

The clientele are 90% male and appear to be either Locals or Housekeeping Staff (not Doctors or Nurses) from the nearby GMC Hospital 😷🏥😷

The Staff were diligent, attentive & the food was delivered quickly.

Although the Menu was quite extensive everyone seemed to be having the same - either "Fish Thali" or "Fish Curry Rice".....🐠🐡🐟

But that is the Goan "staple diet" at lunchtime.... 🌞🌞 so expect that.....!!!!!!

For a long time I have been driving by this restaurant but never at the right time. Fortunately this time I was there at lunch time. With the huge row of cars parked here, I assumed that it is an upscale restaurant, but the moment I entered I realised it is a budget restaurant serving local food. After running through the menu we decided to have chonak fish thali and a chonak serving. The fish was fresh and fried to perfection, though the portion was smaller than normally served in other restaurants. Vernekar Bar and Restaurant in Bambolim is a great spot for an authentic Goan fish thali. The seating is spread across two levels, giving it a casual and comfortable vibe. The fish thali is amazing every time the fish fry is fresh and flavorful, and the seafood quality has been consistent across my visits.
