Barbeque Nation - Rajkot - Crystal Mall — Restaurant in Gujarat

It's good to have an outlet of Barbeque Nation catering to the cravings of the local people in Rajkot. It's a welcome move as the city and neighboring areas barely have good nonvegetarian restaurants, let alone buffets and live grills. Having said that, the place also offers a plethora of vegetarian food. Did I forget the complementary mocktail?

Located inside Crystal Mall, the beautiful restaurant brings to Rajkot the concept of live grill, where you have a grill right in the table where your cooked kebabs are lined up. Pick up and serve yourself whenever you feel they are perfect for you.

The buffet provides the option of almost 12 veg + nonvegetarian starters on the table, followed by a huge main course comprising salads, mughlai dishes and live counters for pasta and biryani, and ending with the classic BBQ Nation dessert spread with a live kulfi counter as well.

Among veg starters, do try the Cajun Spiced Potato, Crispy Corn & the paneer kebabs. From the nonveg side, try the prawn, fish, mutton sheekh and the chicken tangri/qalmi kababs. They are amazing. I usually ignore the main course for the sake of their awesome dessert spread. Special love for the kulfi counter serving 6 types of kulfi. You must try the paan flavor!

Overall, though their quality keeps fluctuating at times, the management is really cooperative and prepares your food as per your requirements. Cost for two : Rs 2000 for nonvegetarian.

As far as I remember, I'm posting review for the 1st time Review on basics of 28-07-2021 experience 0(Zero) star for their starters 3(Three) star for their dessert 5(Five) star for their service

Earlier( till 18th march, 2021)BBQ Rajkot was super good.

But yesterday (28-07-2021) my experience was horrible ( paneer and mashroom tart/khatta taste ), and I did complain over there as well, they did customized mushroom and paneer for me, then too it wasn't good at all

My intension was not to hurt chefs, so I said batter than before ( because I didn't wanted to make him demotivate)

Moreover, let's talk about dessert

1. mango pastry was not fresh at all and also it wasn't backed well, another item was chocolate pastry it was fresh, then again I asked guy over there to try mango pastry to get it fresh but same thing happened I didn't like it

2. item of fresh cream, it wasn't fresh again

Again I asked for it to get fresh one And I was so satisfied and I asked him to get with strawberry flavor and it was amazing

We didn't like to ask them to get fresh dessert for us as Barbeque Nationknows for their fresh and hygiene...

You want to feel the best service in food industry I would suggest check out BARBEQUE NATION, some important point on which I am judging are described below: Ambience-- ample of space very well decorated, neat n clean, the whole place was very well sanitised, even before offering seats to us, they sanitised whole table and sofa with cushions.

Service: best in industry I think, polite staff, always happy, treating customer very well, no time waiting time. 5/5 There was a grill in the middle of the table too, was quite hot to keep your starter warm.

Food: starter was the star of the show, non veg has plenty of varieties from fish to prawn. Speciality was chicken leg, in veg I liked pineapple, chaat the most, the thing u like the most you can reorder unlimited times. There so much to choose from and everything was so good. Desert was awesome. But overall kulfi specially chiku kulfi was winner among everything, and paan kulfi with cherry n gulkand was also great.

I am but disappointed with main course veg n non veg both, they were not any match with the starters. Jalebi was also not...
