Basil The OtherSide — Restaurant in Gujarat

Basil shall be one of my favorite bistro cafe on Nirma University road. The quirky little cafe with comfortable seating arrangement has best impression on customers the moment they enter.

I was also pleasantly surprised with their coffee menu - a menu full of intriguing entrees, the food we tasted was excellent and I don't mind saying that its pretty much spot on for authenticity.

They use medium roast single origin coffee from best Indian estate. Coffee bom bon with Sicilian pizza was star of the show for me.

Expresso bombon ( 150/- served in a small cup ) is basically an expresso coffee for a person with sweet tooth. It's one shot of condensed milk (about 20ml) and double shot of strong expresso , around (40ml) . You can enjoy this with or without stirring. Totally your take.💕 Highly highly recommended for coffee lovers.

Food.

Sicilian (large) 395/- , Totally worth every single penny. Recommended.

3 cheese pizza (regular) 255/- Believe me , it's even cheesiest than 7 cheese . Highly recommended

Lush green Pizza (regular) 300/- was amazing .Coz I'm a green pesto sauce lover.

Peri peri toast 180/- was a baked to perfection on a brown bread. Highly recommended.

Pink penne pasta 200/- & Creamy mushroom risotto 250/- were okayish as I have had better pastas and risottos elsewhere. . Beverages.

Cappuccino 150/- a classic hot , stro g expresso coffee layered with a dash of milk and micro foam.

Cafe mocha 170/- A mildly sweet cup of coffee with hints of Chocolate. Recommended.

Cold coffee 160/- was mildly sweetened and very strong...Exactly the way I like . Highly recommended.

Cadbury hot chocolate 170/- was made using original Cadbury productand not bournvita or Chocolate slabs . Good one but I prefer l thick consistency of my hot chocolate.

Espresso on wings 200/- Damn .. This drink is in rage these days. It's redbull topped with cold brew to give a strong , reviving flavour of coffee . Not a big red bull fan so this isn't my type of coffee.

Blueberry Oreo thick shake 225/- Aaah...this had unique amalgamation of blueberry flavour with our very own Oreo shake. A little bit on a sweet side but totally worth a try. Recommended.

Affogato 140/- is my favourite coffee . I order it when I'm confused while ordering a coffee or an ice cream. Affogato comes with two scoops of vanilla ice cream in Expresso shot. Highly recommended if you are a coffee lover

Desserts. Hot brownie with ice cream 200/- limited options to choose from when it comes to desserts but this dessert it's totally worth it to give your meal a finishing touch.

Everything is delicious & fresh, and the service is kind & prompt ! Basil knows how to do it right. !

Great service. Wide selection of good quality, delicious food. Very veggie friendly. Excellent value for money. & a lot less pricey than far inferior establishments.

This place has array of games and books to choose from till you get your food. Basil also organizes open mic and live performance, regularly. The owners are passionate foodies and coffee lovers and their owner cum head chef curated this menu out of love and passion. They do not compromise on quality of ingredients and hence , Basil is one place I'll keep coming back to for it's fresh pizza and coffees (they get their flour imported and make their pizza sauce daily using fresh tomatoes and house special ingredients).

Recently we visited this place located just near to Nirma university in Gota area. Finding such a cute little place in this area is a blessing especially if you travel from that route or study nearby. It becomes your regular hangout spot. The interiors make you love it everytime you go there. Add on to it - Nirma University students get 10% off. They have an open kitchen and everything from their menu is cooked, baked or blended in front of you. All the products used for preparation of any food or beverage is of great quality. Café Basil The Otherside is hands down one of the best café experiences I've had in a long time! From the moment we walked in, the place radiated a charm that made us feel instantly at ease. The atmosphere is simply fantastic—a perfect blend of cozy, vibrant, and welcoming. Whether you’re there for a casual hangout or a special occasion, this café sets the perfect tone.

The staff deserves a special mention. They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. It's rare to see such genuine hospitality, and it adds so much to the overall experience. The owner, too, was remarkable—a warm and personable individual who clearly cares about creating a memorable experience for every guest.
