One of the best bakeries in the town with probably the most delicious coconut cookies i have consumed in my life. Surti batasa and nankhatai is fantastic too along with chocolate balls, strawberry cakes and various other bakery items. The prices of the products are low while maintaining the excellent quality compared to other premium bakeries of the city.

There is a lack of sitting space , so if you stand and eat the stuff, the excess staff just watches you eating all the sugar like a maniac.

For the hygiene conscious, the staff doesn't wear gloves or use tongs while handling the stuff in display boxes.

The owner is a gentle bespectaled man who in the age of digital transactions doesn't have a paytm or UPI (probably a fear of tax assessment with such high sales) and right next to his main counter is an old certificate by Times Group from 2007 declaring them the best bakery in Surat. Being a Surti I have grown-up enjoying delicious biscuits and cakes from Dotiwala. I have seen this legendary bakery grow from a small British-style barkery to the modernized bakery of current times.

When I was a kid, Dotiwala Bakery used to be our go-to place for cakes. From picking up single pieces of cakes to ordering cakes for Birthdays. I still remember how we used to book 'Pau Bhaji Pau' a day in advance and then pick it up the next day. The memory brings goosebumps.

Irani Sada biscuits, Farmas (Butter) biscuits and Padwali bisucits are the all time must have from Dotiwala. Other good ones are Coconut macaroons and Vanilla biscuits.
