Those were the golden days. Rasawala Khaman was a dream. Quantity and quality were awesome. The salad (kachumbar) that came with it was nicely loaded with onion, tomato, coriander and during season even raw mango. I remember going to this place regularly with friends and we used to easily go through 2-3 plates a piece. I have had rasawala khaman here since they were for Rs.3 a plate.
Fastforward 10 years - The price went upto Rs 25 a plate and quality and quantity dropped to the value to Rs3. The salad is pathetic - Cabbage instead of onion and all the good stuff. Rasa doesnt have the same sting any more. Oh and I must mention the sev. Try the save by itself without the khaman, you will notice it doesnt taste anything like sev. It is not made with besan (chik pea flour). I bet its made from maida (refined wheat flour) or something else even cheaper with yellow food color. Terrible. Bad case of profiteering. Not...
