Tried Grill Kitchen in Manjalpur for the first time, and I’m convinced it was also my last — unless I’m ever in the mood for cold soup, stale gulab jamuns, and an accidental episode of Kitchen Nightmares: Vadodara Edition 🤯.
Let’s start from the grand entrance. No welcome, no “Good evening sir,” no “Your table is this way.” Just me awkwardly strolling around like I owned the place… until a waiter appeared and heroically pointed to a dirty table. When I asked him to clean it, he solved the problem in the most innovative way possible — he moved us to another equally questionable table 🪑✨.
Now, food time… aka, the real horror show 🍽️. The starters took longer to arrive than a Swiggy delivery during peak hours ⏳. What finally came were some tired-looking grill items — potato, mushroom, corn, paneer, pineapple — basically a sad BBQ with commitment issues 🥲. Taste? Let’s just say the highlight was the toothpick.
Soup? Cold 🧊. Gulab jamun? A vintage collection — probably aged for 2–3 days 🫠. Pani puri? The water was decent, but the potato filling was weirdly sweet 🥔🍬.
Cheese balls were more like cheese-less balls 🧀❌. Pizza? I’ve had better at birthday parties for 6-year-olds 🎂. Main course? Honestly, I forgot what I ate. That forgettable 🫥.
Mocktails came in three varieties — one sip each 🥤. Understandable. But then came the big twist: a buffet with only one flavor of ice cream. Single scoop. Limited edition 🍦(wow).
To top it off, while we were trying to survive dinner, a few waiter were jogging around the garden outside like they were in a resort 🏃♂️🏃♀️. Maybe they knew something we didn’t — like running away from the restaurant.
Final verdict: If you enjoy overpaying for underwhelming food served with a side of confusion and chaos, Grill Kitchen might just be your jam 🙃. Otherwise, save your appetite (and sanity) for literally anywhere...
Read moreHad great expectations from this place and believe me this place is nothing less than - Food Lover's NIGHTMARE.
This is more of a "Hangout" place to come in groups to laugh, talk and giggle loudly than a "Buffet" as the "Staff" is FULLY TRAINED to ignore people who love to eat. It started off really well with prompt service with 'Smallest portion sizes' I have ever seen in my life (They were giving skewers loaded with 2 potatoes and 2 pineapples for a table of 3 guests). They never provided skewer fork to unload the skewers despite pointing out multiple times, had to do the honours with the back of table forks. They promptly repeated un-consumable items from menu once without any requests.
The real fun began when we requested to repeat the eatables. We had to literally beg "5 times" for Harabhahara Kebab and cheese balls, "4 times" for manchurian and pizzas, just to witness the waiters carrying these very items and serving on other tables right infront of you, ignoring you. Interesting part is, this all was being monitored and well orchestrated by the person who sits at the reception desk (He could be owner or the caretaker of the business). We were finally served the items after 30 mins of polite begging in a diner serving so called UNLIMITED BUFFET.
We finally moved to self service maincourse and I can convincingly tell you the items were cooked in continental style and were not really something that the barodian tastebuds would appreciate.
Our overall experience - PATHETIC.
If you are a Food Lover and looking for Unlimited menu then there are much better options for Unlimited Buffet around this place in Manjalpur, you can experiment blindfolded at any other place and that place will give you an experience better...
