I recently had the opportunity to dine at Jassi de Parathe, located in the prime shoppers building, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed with the excellent ambiance of the place. The restaurant exuded a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly put me at ease.

One of the standout aspects of my visit was the staff's polite and friendly behavior. They were attentive, accommodating, and made sure that all our needs were met throughout the evening. Their professional and courteous service added an extra layer of satisfaction to our dining experience.

Being a fan of parathas, we decided to try a variety of them from the menu. While all of them were delicious, the star of the show was undoubtedly the "Jassi de Parathe All in One." This delightful combination of flavors and textures was a treat for the taste buds. The parathas were well-cooked, filled generously with flavorful ingredients, and presented beautifully.

Although we did face a 45-minute wait for our order, it didn't dampen our spirits as we were enjoying the company of good friends. However, if you're seeking to satisfy your hunger quickly, it's worth noting that the food preparation at Jassi de Parathe takes a minimum of 20 minutes. It's advisable to plan accordingly or perhaps order a starter to keep you satiated while waiting for the main course.

Apart from the delectable parathas, I must mention the highlight of our meal—the "Patiyalla Lassi." This traditional Punjabi drink was simply outstanding. The lassi was thick, creamy, and packed with refreshing flavors. It perfectly complemented our meal and left us wanting more.

All in all, Jassi de Parathe is a must-visit restaurant in Surat. The excellent ambiance, polite staff, and delicious food make it a memorable dining destination. If you're in the mood to savor flavorful parathas and indulge in a delightful culinary experience, this is the place to be. Just be prepared for a bit of waiting time, but trust me, it's well worth it. Don't forget to try the Patiyalla Lassi—it's a...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the renowned Punjabi cuisine restaurant "Jassi De Parathe" last Thursday. As a passionate lover of Indian food, I was eagerly looking forward to this experience.

For our starters, we opted for the tandoori paneer dry and Aloo Tikki Chat. While the tandoori paneer lacked proper marination, its smoky fragrance reminiscent of burnt coal was oddly captivating. The Aloo Tikki Chat, on the other hand, was an explosion of tangy and spicy flavors.

Moving on to the main course, we ordered three different Parathas: Amritsari Paratha, Aloo Cheese Paratha, and Cheese Jalapeno Paratha, all served with curd and white butter. Unfortunately, they were just average in taste, falling short of my expectations.

However, the Patiala Lassi was a delightful surprise, striking a perfect balance between thickness and consistency, complemented by a generous helping of dry fruits. The Dum Biryani, with its mouthwatering aroma, was a true highlight of the meal and an absolute must-try.

The restaurant was bustling and crowded even on a weekday, a testament to its popularity. I appreciated their provision of baby chairs for toddlers. Jassi De Parathe offers a fine dining experience, but do be prepared for slightly smaller food portions. On a positive note, the air conditioning managed to maintain a comfortable atmosphere even with a full house.

In terms of pricing, you can expect to spend around 350/- per person. Despite some minor disappointments, the delectable Lassi and Dum Biryani make this restaurant worth a visit for lovers of...

The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, with dim lighting and comfortable seating. The walls were decorated with traditional Punjabi artwork, and the air was filled with the smells of delicious food cooking.

I started my meal with a plate of papdi chaat, a popular street food snack from India. The papdi was crispy and the chutneys were flavorful. I also tried the Delhi ki aloo chat, a variation of the classic chaat dish that is made with potatoes, chickpeas, and a variety of spices. The chat was hearty and satisfying.

For my main course, I ordered the aloo lasan cheese paratha, a flaky flatbread filled with potatoes, garlic, and cheese. The paratha was cooked to perfection and the filling was flavorful. I also tried the aloo pyaz paratha, a paratha filled with potatoes and onions. The paratha was a bit dry, but the filling was still good.

To finish my meal, I ordered the Amritsari kulcha with pindi chhole. The kulcha was a large, fluffy flatbread that was perfectly cooked. The pindi chhole were flavorful and had a nice, thick consistency.

Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting. However, I did find the prices to be a bit high.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Punjabi meal. However, I would advise you to be prepared to spend a bit more than you might at other restaurants...

Located on the 1st floor of Prime Shoppers in Vesu, Jassi De Parathe offers a warm, authentic Punjabi dining experience with an all-vegetarian menu. The rustic décor, dim lighting, cozy seating, and traditional Punjabi music create a homely vibe—perfect for family dinners or casual meet-ups. The restaurant is best known for its wide range of stuffed parathas—over 30 varieties including aloo-lasan, cheese-jalapeño, lachhedar, and even pizza-style. Complementing the parathas are rich Punjabi curries like dal makhani and chhole, which are both flavorful and comforting. The average meal for two costs around ₹500, making it a value-for-money option for hearty Punjabi food lovers. Customers frequently praise the taste and portion sizes, with many saying the parathas remind them of dhaba-style, home-cooked food. Locals also rate the chhole among the best in Surat. The service is friendly and timely, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. While a few visitors have pointed out occasional inconsistencies and slightly higher pricing compared to street-side options, most agree that the quality and ambiance justify the cost. With a strong 4.5-star rating across platforms, Jassi De Parathe is a go-to destination for authentic Punjabi vegetarian cuisine in Vesu.
