Kalyan Cafe — Restaurant in Gujarat

Not even worth one star. I had been there with my family after almost 25 years. First the person accepting (would rather say rejecting) the orders was least interested to hear as if he was asked to be there with a gun to his back. Upon my turn to place the order after 10mins standing in the queue(I was the only one in queue) I asked him for a club sandwich as I remembered this place making good ones long back. He first looked at me as if I was asking him to serve a portion of the moon and then he told me it would take a long time to prepare (it was 8.15pm) so I should leave it and order something else. So whenever you visit them, ask them what they are willing to serve and brace yourselves to eat it at...

Avoid this place at all costs — it's a health hazard. They shamelessly serve stale, reheated food and try to pass it off as fresh. I ordered the Dal Tadka Rice Combo and Veg Manchurian. The dal was barely passable thanks to the tadka, but the so-called "jeera rice" was disgusting — clearly refried, burnt, and stale beyond saving. The Veg Manchurian was an absolute disaster. The first plate was tasteless, rubbery, and clearly old. When I complained, they had the audacity to bring back the same stale food with just a bit more gravy thrown on top, as if that would fix anything. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Serving food like this isn’t just bad service — it’s irresponsible...

Pathetic food quality. The watermelon and apple slices were clearly pre-cut and stored in the freezer. I even found hair in the aloo paratha — completely unacceptable and unhygienic. The service was disappointing, and when I spoke with the management, they seemed to take it lightly, only saying “sorry for the inconvenience.” Though they offered an alternative dish, I’ve completely lost confidence in their kitchen hygiene. A polite apology doesn’t fix such serious issues.
