A good place for spending time with family on weekends. Although I spend more time with friends observing birds from the bridge. Excellent place for small children. The place has a very pleasant atmosphere early in the morning and is filled soothing music with people jogging on the tracks, exercising out in the garden as well as in the open gym. There is no entry fee for the park but there is an entry fee of rupees 10 for the zoo as well as the museum. The zoo has been divided into a bird section, a tiger section and a bear section consisting of a wide variety of birds and animals and the museum has a rich collection of art, paintings and sculptures. The river Vishwamitri also passes through this place providing people with astounding sightings of the crocodiles. Amphitheater proves to be a good platform for showcasing young talents and addressing public issues. The Planetarium provides an attractive and an educational view of the stars, planets and constellations. The garden also has a souvenir shop which leaves you exploring the magnificence of the city.

The only thing you need to be strong about while visiting this zoo is - walking walking and walking. I got so tired after visiting this but it was worth it. There are - lion and tiger section, bird section, crocodile section, deer section and monkey section. In between these you will find a hippo, turtle, rabbit etc. The garden area is huge. They have many rides available for kids. I have shared pics. The zoo is very huge. Every section is vast. You need to walk a lot. If you are going with a toddler or an elder, it is advisable to take a stroller or a wheel chair. For the bird section you need to pay extra. They have created it in such a nice way that you will be fine paying extra after visiting it. I paid 80/- per person including charges for bird section. The toy train was also there but it got closed for the last six months. There is a canteen. You will get cold drinks, butter milk, ice cream, hot snacks, drinking water etc. You will get some snacks outside the zoo as well. I have shared pictures and videos. Please check.
