A few things before placing an order here.
Ask for menu item recipe and how they cook it Go with their suggested items
For point #1, I've a incident to share. Today I visited this place for dinner with my colleagues and we ordered starter and that was good as point #2.
Now, we went ahead and ordered main course, while looking at the menu I found Methi Roti! Yes, something different so I asked the waiter and he said, it will have methi and made with wheat & maida in 80 20 proportion. So I ordered that one.
Butter Roti 35 INR Methi Roti 75 INR
So I expected it to be special then the regular butter Roti! Insted of special thing they served me Butter Roti + Pinch of methi sprinkeled on it! And I was like how beautifully they cheat their customers. This way they can also introduce Dhaniya Roti in future.
Upon asked to waiter he said, this is the way we serve we add Methi as toppings! And after hearing my voice tempo he requested me to offer a new Methi Roti.
I didn't replace it as I want to go further and wanted to check that what would be special ingredients they have added in extra 40 INR but I found nothing it was as same as butter Roti!
Methi leaves price over IndiaMART is 105 INR/KG and I'm sure they have not purchased it in that price. So I'm 40 INR I could get approx 500 grams dried methi leaves. On my roti it was not even 2 grams!
So how insanely they are charging 40 INR extra for just adding a pinch of dried methi on butter Roti!
The owner of this restaurant, if you are reading this then please remove that option from menu or lower the price as there should be a limit to cheat people.
Should be ashamed.
I gave 2 stars for the suggested items and ambience.
Also, don't try Dal Makhni. It was not good at all and they added kidney beans with daal makhani! I don't know why. The taste was not smooth as...
Read moreI recently visited Mirch Masala on Savli Sama Road, Vadodara, and it was an excellent experience. The restaurant has a vibrant desi-style ambience with colorful interiors, quirky wall décor, and a lively atmosphere that makes dining feel fun and unique.
The food is the real highlight – every dish is full of authentic Indian flavors, well-balanced spices, and generous portions. From starters to main course, everything was fresh and served hot. Their North Indian curries and tandoori items are especially worth trying. The service was prompt, and the staff was polite, attentive, and helpful in suggesting dishes.
What I really appreciated is the consistency – good taste, neat presentation, and hygienic surroundings. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality and portion size, making it a great value-for-money choice for families, friends, or even casual dinners.
Overall, Mirch Masala Savli Sama Road is a must-visit for anyone in Vadodara who enjoys authentic Indian food in a lively setting. Highly...
Read moreThis restaurant is highly over rated. The taste and quality of food in not up to the mark at all. You would get better quality and taste at any other restaurant for a third of their price. The quantity also is not enough. They don't even serve clean plates. When asked about it, they argued and gave excuses instead of changing the plates. They had us seated at a table which was wobbling, that made our experience very uncomfortable. When we shared our concern about the wobbling table, we got a very cold response like it was nothing. We had to eat by adjusting our weight on the table so that things wouldn't fall off. You don't expect things like these in a restaurant like that. The food was very blunt and naan were like a papad. It was not at all a good experience. I will never go back there. A total waste of money and time. I would suggest everyone to go somewhere else, a roadside stall would give you a better quality food and...
