Raipur Bhajiya House — Restaurant in Gujarat

All locals know this place very well. I am also eating here since a long time. There are a few things which need to be put on record after my last visit. The quality is going down, getting inconsistent. The service is pathetic. They were never known for being very friendly but now they are getting in the rude category. They had put up a glass barrier in front of the shop around COVID times, not taken off till date, ordering becomes quite difficult. In their hurry they don't listen to the instructions of the customers & hand over the type of bhajiyas which ever lands in their hands. Wherein even after paying the amount, we don't get the item as per our choice and instructions. During the last visit when I specifically pointed out that one of the bhajiyas was burnt, they just smiled and brushed aside the complaint. Everyone goes there knowing very well that they would not be providing any service, but it's all good till the quality remains impeccable but if the quality is deteriorating, then coupled with no service & rude behaviour with ever rising prices, the downfall of this 90 year old eatery might just be...

Waste of money. I got reference from a shop and reached this place on Dussehra to buy Fafda & Jalebi. But the Fafda was expensive as well as of bad quality as if they don’t know how to cook food. The besan chutney was so horrible and like running water…jalebi were loose. All were made on previous day not freshly made. Since the Fafda were packed I paid money but jalebi I didn’t buy. I saw on next road a vendor making fresh jalebi. So I bought from that vendor the crispy Jalebi. In short I will never go again to buy from...

The Bajia and Khaman here are really delicious and one of the main reasons this place is popular. However, the location is not ideal due to heavy traffic around the area, especially during peak hours.

The service was average — not too bad, but not great either. The biggest issue was the lack of proper counter management, which made the experience a bit frustrating.
