Disappointing Culinary Experience
Rating: ⭐ (1/5)
Review:
My visit to the Statue of Unity Canteen was unfortunately a letdown. Despite the promising ambiance and the spectacular backdrop of the monument, the dining experience left much to be desired.
One of the most crucial aspects of a restaurant is the food, and in this regard, the canteen fell short. I found the dishes to be lacking in flavor and authenticity. Considering the diverse culinary heritage of the region, I expected the menu to offer a rich tapestry of tastes, but sadly, the flavors seemed muted and uninspiring. It was disappointing to pay a premium for food that lacked the taste I was hoping for.
Additionally, the pricing was another downside. The cost of the dishes was considerably high, especially considering the lackluster taste. I expected to pay a bit more due to the iconic location, but the value for money was questionable. It's disappointing when the price doesn't align with the quality of the dining experience.
Service was adequate but didn't make up for the overall disappointment. While the staff was courteous, there was a lack of enthusiasm that one would expect in a place surrounded by such grandeur.
The views of the Statue of Unity were indeed breathtaking, and the ambiance of the canteen was comfortable. However, these positives couldn't compensate for the lack of taste and the high prices.
In conclusion, while the Statue of Unity Canteen has the potential to be a fantastic dining spot, my experience was marred by bland food and exorbitant prices. I hope that the management takes the feedback constructively and works on improving the culinary offerings to match the...

Statue of unity building is totally A.C. with super fast lift which takes you to the chest of statue from where you can see wonderful scenery.
Museum is also very nice. All places are neat and clean.
I went there by GSRTC AC LUXURY BUS. Which takes you from SURAT AND DIRECT DROP to Statue of Unity.
Make sure to book online ticket of Statue of unity.
1000 INR for. EXPRESS TICKET by which you will get direct entry to Statue of unity.
350 rs normal ticket by which you have to go through queue.
By 1000 and 350 rs ticket you can visit museum and 45th floor inside top of statue.
120 rs ticket by which you can just view statue from out side.
I prefer to buy ticket of 350 normal ticket.
Another you have to buy 30 rs for bus which takes you to the statue of unity, valley of flowers and sardar sarovar dam.
If you have person vehicle then you might have to park away of statue of unity approx 3-4 km - not sure. Some personal vehicles are also coming statue of unity by some permission.
Statue of unity is centralized AC so you don't have any issue but for valley of flower and sardar sarovar dam, you will face issue in summer - heavy sun hot IN SUMMER.
Fully AC Food court at statue of unity also good. You will find jagdish farsan, subway, havmor and coffee cafe there.
GSRTC DIRECT BUSES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE FROM AHMEDABAD, RAJKOT, VADODARA AND...

Had to stand in queue for 2 hour with family for just getting tickets. No crowd management by staff there... People were abusing and fighting for tickets. Later bus queues were mess as too much crowd, police or local staff don't bother to manage crowd or help. On asking them to do so they would advise who told you to come here if you cannot wait in queues... 2 hours in tickets, 1 hour for bus..... Then 30+ mins at entrance gates...half day gone....
Later 2 hours waiting for viewing gallery.....foods stalls also loot with expensive and unhygienic food...
Overall we made a place to attract tourists, but didn't bother to service them well. They are charging 350 or 1000 Rs per person but no service/management on ground for smooth visits.
Hope foreign tourists don't suffer his way or else they would never return to India for a trip.
Inspite of good roads you cannot take your cars, for that you need a VIP pass...Sad taste of affairs...
Hope never wasted my holiday there....
Take care of your family of you planning to visit here....
Online tickets also booking was not allowed the day we were visiting... Things need to improve of this place could turn into Statue of dis-Unity as most people were fighting or abusing each other out of frustration as they had to long wait in queues for all...
