I am writing this with immense frustration and disappointment. My friends and I have been loyal patrons of this establishment for years, a place we've always considered our go-to spot for gatherings and celebrations. We have celebrated multiple birthdays here, including this year, without a single issue. However, our most recent visit was a complete betrayal of the trust we had in this brand. After celebrating a friend's birthday, we were hit with an unexpected and undisclosed charge for cutting a cake. This fee was sprung on us only after the celebration was over. There is absolutely no signage, no menu item, nor any mention of this policy on the premises. When we questioned this charge, the manager’s response was not only unhelpful but also incredibly rude and condescending. He raised his voice and falsely claimed that the policy was mentioned on the bill. As you can see from the attached receipt, a bill for a significant amount of ₹495, there is absolutely no mention of a cake cutting charge anywhere on the front or the back. Also they turned off the fan about our heads after this to force use out of the premises (we have video evidence for the same). This is not just poor service—it's blatant dishonesty and a breach of customer trust. For a brand with multiple outlets, such a lack of transparency and unprofessional staff behavior is a critical failure. The actions of your employees, particularly the manager, are not just causing a bad customer experience but are actively damaging your brand's reputation. We, as loyal customers, were more than willing to pay if the charge had been transparently stated. Our issue is with the deceitful practice and the unacceptable attitude of the staff. This incident is a textbook example of how a business can alienate its most loyal customers. I urge the brand management team to take immediate and decisive action. This is a negative review that I will be sharing widely to ensure others are aware of this poor customer experience. #BadService #HiddenCharges #BrandDamage #DishonestBusiness #CustomerBetrayal #PoorCustomerExperience #NegativeReview #UnprofessionalStaff

So, this is one of those Tea Posts where the staff think/act/behave as if they are working in M&S or Starbucks. You ask them something, and they reply something. You casually walk in and try to find a seat, and even before you know it, staff and pondering around to make sure you order something - well, from their pricey menu (Rs 50, for a small chai). "Abhi itni jagah rakhi hai bethne ko, to daam to chukana padega na" They have every selection for most of the things (well, that's what their menu & staff suggests), but when it comes to less sugary drinks, to Phir to Sirf Rs25 ki pani ka bottle hi option hai, woh bhi thanda nahi (fridge cooling ke paisa jo bachane hai). And, just if you think of trying any of their milk shakes or coolers - think twice as everything is a pre-mix syrups that they pour and add soda and then change min of Rs 110 to Rs 180. Paisa charge karna hi to product ki aur focus karo - lekin, staff ka attitude, wohi "lena hai to le". Unko Yeh bhi malum nahi ke "lime ya lemon soda" or "sprite" me kya difference hai, "sab ek hi hai madam" - was their answer. And finally, Rs 110 ka Mojito Cooler - woh bhi chai ke paper cup me, had kar di hai Tea Post. Pehle to dhang se banana shikh lo, phir menu me add karo, aur tab jake Rs 110 charge karna. Usse acha to MacD ya Burger King me hi beth lo. Definitely a NO NO Go place... Sab paisa kamane ka petra.

Last month I visited Tea Post Akota with a friend, and while the food and coffee were quite enjoyable (4/5), the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The ambience was extremely noisy (2/5)—the loud cricket commentary made it difficult to have a conversation. To make matters worse, a group of college students approached us, claiming they had booked the entire area from 6 PM and asked us to leave. There was no reserved sign in sight, and when I addressed the issue with the staff, they admitted they had forgotten to place a reserved board—a serious oversight that caused unnecessary discomfort. The service (1/5) was disappointing. Clear communication and better management are essential to avoid such confusion. While we enjoyed the food, the overall environment needs significant improvement—especially in managing reservations and controlling noise levels. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to offer a more pleasant and organized experience in the future.

Place : They've made a spacious 2 floor cafe with outside seating options as well. However, hygiene sense is poor as they don't keep the tables or the floor clean after a customer is done. You've to specially request them to clean the table AND inspite of that, they use only tissue paper to clean the table. So if the person before you was drinking chai and they spilled some, you would have to endure the dry spill stain. The tables and seats are low height so for someone with a knee problem, (or someone wearing short skirts!!) I would not recommend.

Food : The rates are very reasonable as compared to other famous cafes in the city, and that explains why the place is always so crowded. The taste is alright, not much complaint there, but nothing to boast off either.

Staff : I've been to this cafe exactly twice and was subjected to a different cashier each time. Both the times, the cashiers were extremely rude. I'll give you a specific example. I ordered for a green tea and dark chocolate cookie packet. My total bill was 82 rupees. I gave him a 500 rupee note and he made a face like give me change. I explained that I don't have change but his attitude was like it's not my problem. So then I offered to gpay. I asked him again what the amount was and I heard him say 80. Upto this point, I wasn't provided with a written bill saying my total is 82 rupees. I gpayed 80 and showed him on my phone that the payment was done. He again made a face and said rudely I told you it's 82 rupees. I thought ok it's my mistake and took out two rupee coin from my wallet to give him and he made a face again saying no you will have to gpay. I then gpayed 2 rupees !! Then I was sitting waiting for my order and instead of dark chocolate cookie packet, almond cookie packet arrived. I explained to the wait staff that this wasn't my order and the wait staff redirected me to another wait staff. That other wait staff disappeared after hearing my problem. I had no choice but to go back to the cashier and ask for dark chocolate cookie packet. He informed me it's sold out and I'll have to eat almond cookie. WHY would I do that ??? It's like saying we've run out of orange so you better eat lemon. I told him I want my money back. And he made a HORRIBLY RUDE FACE. He ignored me upto two customers. Arey ?? Is it my mistake that you don't have the cookie but you charged me for it ? I stood my ground and waited patiently for him to return my money. After two customers, he took out 30 rupees from the cash register and slammed them on the counter, not even looking at me. What a horrible attitude ! I took the money and went back to my table, but in all this, my green tea got cold. So overall I would say my experience wasn't good at all.

I don't think I'll be returning to this...
