Never order from Biryani By Kilo to celebrate any occasion with Family and Friends. Today being an Holiday due to EID we taught of celebrating the occasion by ordering Hyderabadi Biryani from BBK as they have been preparing the Biryani fresh only when the order is booked. We placed the order through the app for 1Kg Chicken Biryani and was assured the delivery in 60 min. But to our surprise it arrived 6 min early with much eagerness we started to plate and consume with Family we found the Chicken was totally Under cooked. (Pics attached). We had to stop eating and fed our neighborhood street Dogs. We then called the customer care, they responded well and apologized for the mistake and assured of better experience in future and this mistake will be not repeated. Then they offered me ½ Kg complimentary Biryani supervised and cooked for perfection. In an Hr time we received the 2nd Complimentary Biryani. But to our shock it was stinking foul rotten smell. When we examined one of the chicken piece was smelling rotten and the whole Biryani had to be thrown to dustbin as it was not fit even for Dogs. With these 2 bad experiences on the same day I have concluded that never should we order from such outlet which promise of freshly cooked only on receiving the order. They cannot guarantee of fresh ingredient’s as they use the left-over ingredients. Always trust the old Brands who procure and process the cooking every day fresh and finish the batch. With my experience it is proved that Biryani By Kilo as per their policy they may be cooking only on order but the left-over is not hygienically stored. They don’t ensure the old meat batch to not be mixed with fresh batch of meat, due to this above mentioned experience it is clear of the 4 piece one was rotten and stinking. Please be a better judge and take risk to order from such outlets for celebrating any occasions with Family and Friends. OMG ... This did not stop here we got a call from their help desk next day in the afternoon and once again they Apologized and offered us a 1/2 Kg Chicken Biryani which will be cooked to perfection and delivered. I asked them to send by 8 pm accordingly they sent us the Biryani. We plated the Biryani on our plate but to our Shock the chicken was totally Under cooked and we could not consume it. We ten called the Helpdesk they once again Apologized I requested them to send the outlet manager to come to our place to see to himself the food quality delivered. in the next 1.5 Hrs they send a delivery boy with a freshly cooked Biryani.

We did not accept the Biryani and we returned back the earlier delivered under cooked Biryani for them to evaluate their fault.

Then I called the Helpdesk to and requested him to return our complete money back and do not harass us further. they in turn asked me to contact Swiggy as I had placed the order through them.

I had paid Rs 854 and Swiggy is returning...

Getaways and picnics call for some easy peasy food options and we chose to carry some Biryani for our ever hungry tummies. I think the whole concept of heating the sealed handis with tea candles and having piping hot food, sounded overly exciting for this particular outing. I ordered - • Malamaal Chicken Biryani - Excellent is the word! Perfectly aromatic, well seasoned and spiced, packed with extremely succulent pieces of chicken. I must also appreciate the salan as well. Amazing flavours and taste overall, though the biryani was pretty wholesome and didn’t need anything to back it up. A must try! • Paneer Nawabi - This one was boiling on being heated by the tea candles!! Perfect consistency of gravy with chunky pieces of cottage cheese. The flavours, taste and aroma were rich and highly palatable. More than enough in quantity for 4-5 people to feast well! • Ulte Tawe Ka Parantha - Slight disappointment here. The paratha is actually a thicker version of a ‘maide ki roti’ and according to me, undercooked. Thankfully we had a toaster so we toasted our parantha and it was good to eat! • Dastaan-E-Gul - This was purely on recommendation and I had no idea it was made out of bottle gourd! The layers of the sweet gourd were alternated with layers of gulkand adding a rich taste to the dessert overall. Really good and really different. A must try for sure.

Overall, a great meal from Biryani by Kilo. Kudos!

Biryani by kilo is a name similar to all biryani lovers. It is one of my favourite places for enjoying authentic biryani at the comfort of my home. Few days back I was at a friend’s place when she told me that she haven’t tried BBK Biryani yet, I knew what we’re having for lunch then & there. We ordered Peshawar Chole biryani with burani raita, Paneer nawabi with ulte tawe ka parantha and Dastaan-e-Gul for desserts. As soon as the food came, my friend was floored with their presentation. Biryani & paneer came in earthen pots with a chillum which can be used to re heat the biryani. As expected the food was amazingly delicious in taste.
