Short Review: The Restaurant who does not trust its customers and serve Cold Pizza and then fight over it.
Full Review: I was a regular in Cafe Wanderlust couple of years ago when I used to live in Gurgaon.
So, when I have shifted back to Gurgaon, one day my love for this place urged me to order my dinner from this place. And I can say that I repent my decision and I should have listened to my friends who have already told me that the food quality of this place has drastically gone down.
I ordered a Chicago Deep Dish Pizza for my Sunday Dinner. What I got after 50 minutes of waiting was a Cold Pizza where the entire cheese topping was shifting to one side (See pics attached). I immediately called the restaurant to explain the problem so that they can resolve the issue. The person asked me to click a photo and send me on Whatsapp. Even after doing that they did not accept their fault and tried to give me a 50% discount for my next visit. When I continuously pressed for an exchange I got the number of the owner Disha Saxena.
This is not the first time I was having a conversation with a restaurant owner as being a blogger I keep interacting with restaurant owners on regular basis. Generally, the owners are very compassionate towards their customers, but it was hard to convey the problem to Disha as she was persistence that they find the photograph completely fine and they will look into it tomorrow and for now no action can be taken.
After continuously asking that what should I do for dinner, they agreed to send me a new Pizza and wanted the existing pizza back The new pizza for not hot but not cold either but had the same problem of the entire cheese topping shifted to 1 side of the box. I decided not to waste my time further with the people who don't trust there customer.
They have genuinely lost 1 admirer and would recommend not to get deliveries...
Read moreCafe Wanderlust is already an award-winning cafe with their breakfast options. I personally felt that if you are getting bored and you actually want to visit a relaxing place with amazing food options then Cafe Wanderlust is the rightmost place. Ambience: 🏖 Interior is very homey, medium lights with couches, comfortable moodaas, hanging bed and chairs. You can read travel books or play games there. What’s the Cuisine here all about? They have platters with many breakfast options like 'All Day Breakfast', 'Street Food', 'European Street Side Specials'.'Shakes' and alot many things What’s the Cuisine here all about? I tried their Kachori platter which was very heavy and tastes like you are eating it in Old Delhi, so crispy poori type kachoris with Allu ki Bhaji, Papaya Pickle, apple cinnamon dip and chatnis. then I had Amristari Chole Bhature which was the main criminal for spoiling my diet. I got tangy chole with dips that made me eat both 2 big bhature at one time. Cosmopolitan Paratha platter was so very good in terms of quantity that you definitely need one more companion to finish it. The best drink to have is their Hot chocolate which is covered with whipped cream and when you start sipping it, no one can stop you to finish it. Service was good and the staff is very polite. They keep your privacy in mind and they don't roam around you. Recommendations📌:Try any one platter and you can have a shake or hot chocolate as per your choice. Overall, I rate Cafe Wanderlust: 4 out of 5 for service. 5 out of 5 for food and drinks. 4 out of 5 for value for money 4.5 out of 5 for Ambience How to reach🗺️ Metro: Nearest metro is Huda City Center. and then take auto & maximum pay Rs. 50 for one-sided. It's on the first floor on the back side...
Read moreLocation- A hidden gem in the galleria Market. Its situated on the back side, above archies/post office. You may find it difficult to reach this place. Ambience- You walk through closed shops to reach this place and suddenly the cool ambience with bean bags, rocking chairs, books, etc strikes up. Various sitting options are available and the interior is unique. While you wait for your order to be delivered you have various board games to play- chess, snakes and ladder, monopoly. This is cool. The place is small, not a place where you can go in a large group. A group of more than 6 would find themselves uncomfortable. Food- The menu is quite fascinating. First its a tablet and not a paper menu. You order your food by choosing options in a tablet which describes each dish very well with photos. Secondly, the menu is unique, its authentic dishes from over all over the country. you can find dishes like kachori, vada pav, adrak tea etc etc. To be specific they don't have the mainstream menu. We had ordered cheese chilly toast, oreo shake, cold coffee and momos. Everything was good. Service- The service is good. If you want to order something, just do it on your tablet, no need to wait for the waiter to come. The order time was slightly on the lower side. Cost- Not a cheap option but neither very costly. As Zomato points out its 900 for two which is...
