Karnataka Restaurant — Restaurant in Gurugram District

A REGULAR CUSTOMER OF OVER A DECADE - HOWEVER, I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN!! - EVER!!!!!

CUSTOMER LOST because of a bunch of onions!!

Pathetic experience!! Even though I've been a regular customer for over the last 12+ years, if not more - of the Gurgaon outlet (sector 22 market).

I feel let down & deeply disappointed - All for a measly bunch of onions!! (Condiments/ accompaniments)

I've been ordering + regularly visiting on a monthly basis for 12+ years, and the staff has been fairly stable (- not new staff,so I'm sure they know me, as a regular customer.)

However, the level of apathy exhibited by the restaurant staff today, was appalling!!!

The restaurant's behavior was quite inappropriate, rather quite pathetic response from the restaurant manager.

DISAPOINTING INCIDENT: For a take out order, at about 10 pm., which was pre-ordered over the phone, I asked for extra onions.

When I went to collect my order-in person, I found that the onions were not as per request. *(in spite of clearly asking for extras while placing my order over the phone.) So, I asked for some more.

Firstly, the manager told me that the onions they've packed are as per my order. (Cheeky - because I was made to feel as if they are doing me a favor - not expected from these guys I've been frequenting for well over a decade).

CHEEKY & DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR BY RESTAURANT MANAGER In spite of asking - in fact, insisting for additional condiments, again - at the restaurant, the manager enquired from the order-taker / staff at counter about my order, and had the cheek to tell me that since I'd ordered for 2 parathas + 1 paneer dish, 1 pack of onions should suffice - and asked "why do i need more??"

DISGUSTED!!! PATHETIC SERVICE!!!!

**This incident is dated 03rd July'22, when onions are priced at Rs. 29/- per kg, on Blinkit (I'm sure they source it for Rs15/- Or Rs. 20/-, if not less).

I have not had any major complaints about their food or service, over the past years, rather, I have been the one taking my family to this restaurant.

But, today they came crashing down and broke all records!!

I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN!! - EVER!!!!!

I do not need this mediocrity & Pathetic service!!!!

This is my opinion on what I saw, felt and gone thru. It could be different from others as expectations differ. I went to explore this restaurant on demand of my wife, When i entered the resturant was almost empty during lunch time. I thought may be it was one off or may be i was late but soon I realised why it remains empty. We ordered chilly paneer, Mysore rawa onion masala dosa (plain dosa + masala separate) , lemon soda and 1 dew (300ml). First chilly paneer was served, which was ok on taste. Then came dosa, we had half of it and that was it. Taste wise, it was fine. Now, I asked to pack remaining dosa, on that note i was told we will pack only plain dosa and will not give anything over and above that. To my shock, this was the first resturant i observed where if they serve you, they do not pack. Everybody from waiter to counter boy kept arguing about this is how they work. I asked to put it on board so that people order what they can eat in restaurant only, on which they said we cannot go after demand of every customer, they charged extra for onion in dosa (without informing). The behaviour of staff was so rude and unapologetic that you wonder how it can be at this time of cut throat competition. The charges are also not reasonable, I paid 650 for 2 dishes + 1 lemon soda + 20 rs dew. By no means it is average but if you behave like this after charging premium amount. That is not acceptable.
